Tl* the contact owns a 2013 kia soul equipped with nexen cp662 tires, size: p195/65r15. while driving 60 mph, a loud noise was heard coming from the tires. the contact pulled the vehicle to the shoulder where it was discovered that the rear driver side tire blew out. the contact replaced the tire; however, the front driver side tire blew out a week later. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the tire belt failed. the tire was replaced. the tires were the original equipment. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 22,000.
Submission from re nhtsa safety complaint on kia soul 2013 *tgw the consumer stated while driving, the right front passenger tire went flat. the wheel and rim were bent. the dealer stated, the consumer must have hit something in the road. however, the consumer disputed that notion, stating there was a recall on cadenza wheels, as they were prone to cracking, if a pothole was hit. *jb
I was driving on a highway when, without any provacation, the two tires on the drivers side blew out the sidewall. hole was the size of a 50 cent piece. this happened again on march 26, 2014. we were driving on a highway and the rear tire on the driver's side blew out the sidewall again. mileage was 36,646. *tr
