I was driving on the interstate and at 70 mph i had sudden power failure and the the engine completely died. after about 30 minutes it started up just long enough to go a half a mile and it did the same thing. 10 hrs later it started up again and we were able to have a diagnostic reading done which showed nothing. the battery and alternator were tested and are both working completely fine. later on it ran fine for about an hour and then suddenly did the same thing again.
We were driving on a road at about 35 miles an hour when there was a loud bang from the rear end almost sounded as if a tire head blown upon bringing it back and doing tests and checks we found at the rear transfer case or differential was to blame. upon further research on the internet we found that there has been many complaints about the rear differential or transfer case occurring on many of the same vehicles
Total engine failure at 50 thousand miles at highway speeds. transmission acting funny & shifting hard in weeks prior to engine failure.
Acceleration when shifting into drive mode starts off with a high rev then after a few seconds a hard shift into a normal drive pattern
Door locks only lock and unlock occasionly. batteries replaced in fobs still not operating properly. read that slot of people have or had the same issue. doors would typically lock when you drive. use to not anymore. had car in for recall on engine this year.
En este ao a partir de julio mi carro kia sorento 2011 a presentado problema en la direcion, power tren, de acuerdo a lo que indica que tiene un desperfecto de fabrica, en dos ocaciones he tenido problema muy fuerte, se bloqueo el carro manejando y lo frenos no funcionaron y el carro siguio rodando y pude haber tenido un accidente... la otra en la carretera el carro comienza a sonar las ruedas y cuando se frena tambalea... lo lleve para la inspeccion y paso correctamente pero me entregaron una hoja que el carro tiene desperfecto de fabrica ,,, lo lleve a la kia para la revision de las partes,,,la cual realizaron el pedido de las mismas... pero yo como usuario no me siento conforme ya que ese cambio no me da segurida por que corre peligro mi vidad y la de la familia,,, no necesito un carro reparado lo que necesito un carro que me de segurida para toda la familia,,, una vez que cambien las parte y se me falla en la carretera quien responde por mi vida y la de la familia y la de otras personas, necesito ...
I was driving on the highway at about 65 miles per hour when the vehicle shut down completely lost all power it was acting as if the vehicle was in park as in when you turn the key or you got was a click so your vehicle hasn't been restarted since the incident and i'm being told my engine was blowing there's no way the engine was blowing it would no lights no indication whatsoever anything was wrong with the engine no smells it just shut off
The car was running perfectly fine never had an issue with it. it randomly started knocking/ making a loud noise from the engine and shut off as i was d with my two kids. when i tried to start it back up it continually shut off, it would not stay running. it was running at normal temperature when i pulled over and turned the car off then turned the ignition back on then it showed hot on the temperature gauge. this all started in san bernardino california. i did not understand what the problem was, so i started looking up problems with a kia sorento and found this form. Tl* the contact owns a 2011 kia sorento. while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle stalled while the fourth wheel warning indicator flickered. the contact stated that the accelerator pedal was depressed and caused the vehicle to operate independently. also, the contact heard an abnormal noise while driving the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed to visit a kia dealer. the vehicle was taken to matthews auto group (3721 vestal rd d, vestal, ny 13850, (607) 584-5354) where it was diagnosed that the crankshaft sensor needed to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 213,000. *bf
While driving around town traveling approximately 35 mph i went to accelerate and the rpms went up but there was no increase acceleration. i momentarily lifted my foot off the gas and then attempted to accelerate again and the car accelerated. this is the third time it has happen in the past three months. the vehicle has 43,237 miles on it and i have owned it for the past five months.
