On aug 16, 2019, i received a letter from the virginia department of motor vehicles informing me that my 2015 jeep wrangler has a fca us llc ('fca us') safety issue related to my airbags. these airbags are defective and have killed and injured hundreds of people. the letter states that if my chrysler/dodge/jeep dealership, leesburg, va, is unable to remedy the defect for free within a reasonable time frame, then i should submit a complaint to the nhtsa administrator, 1200 new jersey ave, se, wdc 20590. the dealership informed me that they only perform 6 repairs for this recall per month. i am number 116 in a wait list. therefore, i will have a defective air bag in my jeep wrangler for over 19 months without a free and timely repair. knowing that this is a defective airbag that can risk the health and lives of my family, this is not acceptable. i am submitting this complaint for action to nhtsa to assist in having this dealership provide more timely repairs for known defects that kill people.
Tamara inflators, i've tried to schedule an appointment with chrysler to get my airbag replaced. i was informed by a woman named wendy that i would be waitlisted for the airbag. i was pregnant at the time, so i frequently called as i was going to be putting a new born in my vehicle. wendy then told me that the replacement for the recall has been recalled. i have not been formally informed of the recall of the recall. i do not feel safe driving my car with a newborn or in general.

I have been experiencing the "death wobble" the first time when it was only a year old with 10,000 miles. it was brief and i attributed the issue to road conditions. it happened again around 20,00 miles. it was brief and again on the same freeway attributed to road conditions. i recently experienced it again at 39,000 miles - it was so severe, and violent, shaking the entire vehicle- it was extremely difficult to control the vehicle. i made an appointment at the dealership. the diagnosis was a cracked drag link assembly, need front stabilizer shocks, and rear shocks. on top of that they said there is a crack in the radiator, believed to be from the violent shaking. it's no longer under warranty, with only 39,000 miles - 3,000 miles over and they won't do anything. i have been a long time customer at planet jeep in flagstaff, az. this has been a horrible experience. i will never go back there and won't recommend.

Vehicle airbags failed to deploy in jeep wrangler during a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle that failed to yield right of way (both vehicles in motion) which resulted in front end impact and jeep tipping over to rest on passenger side.
i was involved in a front end motor vehicle collision, with another motor vehicle incident, to wit the front driver side airbag never deployed appropriately. where in which i received injury from the collision accident. as a result of the collision incidents, i further inquired with the dealership service departments maintenance personnel, and was informed, that the deployment contact switch located on the front of my 2015 jeep wrangler, was located in the front grill area, and not located in the front bumper area. recently back in the fall of 2016, i received notice from fiat chrysler jeep corporation. that my 2016 jeep wranglers airbag deployment system had a recall issue. which further stated, let airbag deployment systems ranging back to 2012 jeep wranglers, extending to 2017 jeep wranglers. please be advised that as a result of my 2015 jeep wrangler collision which ended up in a total loss. i had to pursue another vehicle, hence my 2016 jeep wrangler, airbag deployment system recall notice. further be advised, that when i had to shop again for another motor vehicle, to wit my 2016 jeep wrangler. i had asked the dealership sales person, if the airbag deployment system had ever changed from the 2015 jeep wranglers, to the 2016 jeep wranglers? where in which i was informed that the same airbag deployment systems in the 2015 jeep wrangler's were the same in the 2016 jeep wranglers. where, given the fact that motor vehicle airbag recalls by other manufacturing companies, are being called into question? it is my contention, that the 2015 jeep wrangler airbag appointment system then i had owned at the time of the collision, was defective as well. please feel free to contact me anytime regarding this issue, or anything else related to this issue. respectfully submitted
