All the electronics in my steering wheel went out, the horn stopped working, and my airbag no longer works. some of my warning lights on the dash even stopped working. the fm/am radio also no longer works. i took it to the dealership and they said my clock springs went out. i am very worried about my airbag not deploying in a crash. none of these work, whether the car is moving or stationary.
I have a 2012 jeep wrangler i bought in august 2018. this june my air bag light came on and dings every once in a while. i had it looked at by my mechanic and they found that the clockspring needs replaced. i looked at all recalls, i noticed thru the nhtsa the recalls listed are for only right hand drive 2012 jeeps. why would it matter right or left hand drive?? they use the same parts. so my question is, is this recall good for my jeep?? as of right now i have no air bag protection. i did however have the takata air bag inflator recall done. i think this is a big problem for jeeps of all years. i think this should be on the recall list as all not worded as right hand drive jeeps.
Takata recall. no parts available to resolve recall v01. tried 6 times over 2 months to schedule, dealerships refuse to service due to "no parts, call back."

Takata recall .i went into my authorized jeep dealer . prestige jeep on centennial pkwy , las vegas , nevada for the recall of passenger airbag inflator. was told by receptionist in service that they could not order parts because of expense and would have to wait possibly months because they could only order 1 part at a time. meanwhile i cannot drive car because of dangerous safety concerns
Clockspring required replacement. intermittant airbag light, intermittant function from controls on steering wheel. no pattern to intermittant functioning, i personally cleaned out all contacts and harnesses before paying dealership to replace clockspring.
My airbag light has come on at 80,000 miles 1.20.2019. i was told it is the clockspring. 2 months ago my wa580(nag1) transmission began to shift itself going uphill trying to find the right gear. i was told it was the valvebidy which is not under warranty even though the same part was replaced at 35,000 miles.

Takata recall- a few days ago my airbag light started turning on and off each time i started my car and now the light has remained on.
My airbag sensor would randomly turn on and off and at this point it constantly stays on. im concerned for my safty if anything were to happen since the airbags may not deploy. i have heard a lot of other jk ownrs having this issue but when i check recalls against my vin nothing comes up.
2012 wrangler clock spring issue. there is a recall for this issue but not for my model year. airbag may not inflate if needed and the recall needs to be extended to my model year. do i need to die before that happens?
The air bag light on the dashboard just randomly alerts off and on and this was at the same time all the left side panels of the steering wheel stopped working including the horn. if someone is sitting in the passenger side front seat and their distribution of weight shifts the air bag passenger alert system let's you know it's not functioning properly. i was told the problem has something to do with a clockspring and it's air bag wiring under the passenger side front seat to the alert system. i saw on this site where it mentioned a clockspring problem.it does this whether stopped or going. this is continuously an issue now. please advise how i need to proceed with the recall.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep wrangler. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair as the recall notice was received over eight months ago. the dealer (stevens creek chrysler jeep dodge, 4100 stevens creek blvd, san jose, ca 95129, (408) 248-1800) confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. the contact recently received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting him that they filed for bankruptcy. the vin was unknown. the contact had not experienced a failure.
Takata recall- i received your postcard in the mail several weeks ago. i looked up and found my jeep had those defective airbags. i called the dealership where i bought the car and to my surprise, they claimed they had no record on their computers about me purchasing that jeep. they then claimed that the government is wrong-my 2012 wrangler has no takata airbags in them. i asked why they delated my purchase info from their computers and he could not give me an answer-only silence. i know those airbags could explode in hot weather, so i hope to change them by the spring. i live in southern az. please help. i don't want to spend thousands out of my own pocket for the replacement airbags. i can only give an estimate as to when i spoke to this dealership and their refusal to change the airbags. the dealership was larry miller chrysler jeep in tucson, az

Driver steering wheel air bag light is on. horn and all steering wheel buttons except cruise control do not work. light comes on and off repeatedly.
At around 49000 miles, the airbag light comes on and off periodically while driving. had local dealer run diagnostics. the problem was determined to be a faulty clock spring sensor. total cost of parts and labor around $600. i chose not to have it fixed at this time.

Takata recall this recall has been in effect for months/almost a year. i have been trying to trade in my vehicle and am getting incredibly low trade in offers due to this outstanding recall. dealerships are noting that they cannot resale these vehicles on recall thus the low trade in value. i need to trade it in the next month but will lose at lease 2000 bucks in value. i either want a 2000 check for this or for the recall to be fixed or promise a value to any and all dealerships who honor the full trade in value.
Takata recall - my airbag light is on and chrysler will not cover the repairs. the vehicle was started in the morning and the light came on and has yet to go off.

The clocksping went bad in my vehicle and i was told it is not under warranty or in recall!the reason i took it in was the airbag light came on and stayed on. my problem with this is it is a safety issue and should be covered to protect me and my family.
My vehicle clock spring has gone out. my vehicle has 45000 miles and is a model year 2012. other years, specifically 2008-2011 have been recalled for the very same thing. also 2012 rhd models have been recalled for the very thing. my airbag light chimes and is illuminated when driving the vehicle, whenever i turn left, right or stop or accelerate.
The clocksping on the drivers side needs to be replaced. there is a recall for this item in earlier model jeeps but not on my year. i have found out through the dealer that it is the same part and same number. i would like my year jeep to be encluded in the recall for this part because it is the same part.
Takata recall. i ran my vin through mopar and was advised my vehicle qualifies for this recall and that i live in a tier 1 or tier a area. but that there was no fix. what's being investigated as the most recent death related to this recall took place in the city i work in and has a somewhat milder weather than where i live. just this week we've gone from 60 degree to 100 degree weather. it's common to reach 115 degrees in the summer. is there bo option for me to fix my vehicle? i have a loan on it. i'm not comfortable driving it and putting my family at risk. so in the meantime i have to park it, find different transportation, and still pay my loan? there has to be an option for me to resolve this and not wait until mopar finds a fix and hopefully notifies me via phone as i've requested. if there is a known issue, and i have an at risk vehicle, being operated in an at risk area, there is no way i should be asked to still drive it and put my family at risk until mopar decides they have a remedy. *tr
The manufacturer of my vehicle, fca has issued a number of recalls eg s33 covering jeepwranglers built 2007-2010 and recently s40 covering only right hand drive jeeps built 2022-2016. these recalls are for clock spring failures resulting in compromised airbag circuits which will not deploy. the clock spring fails because dust gets in it. my jeep is a 2012 wrangler with about 10,000 miles on it has had this failure. it has been driven extensively without windows in the desert. i have discussed this problem with fca without success . what is my recourse???
Airbag light goes on and off intermittently while driving. this happens mostly at speeds greater than 20 mph. this started about 3-4 months ago.
Clockpin. airbag light is at all times. warning sound "dings" often. dealership states airbags will not function until the clockpin is replaced.
Takata recall - this is a severe and dangerous condition that should have already been corrected. i am very dissatisfied and upset with the alleged "unavailability" of repair parts that has been stated for far too long. i need this dangerous defect repaired immediately.

2012 jeep wrangler. consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair passenger airbag inflator recall notice 16v-352. *smd
Takata recall, we are very upset at chrysler that they do not have a fix for the jeep wrangler passenger airbag issue.. this vehicle is driven by our daughter for school and her carpool. she is without a car as of right now because we do not feel it is safe for her to drive at this time. we have called many times and get the run around from our local dealer service department and chrysler itself. they should have a fix for the problem. we need a car to drive. we bought our jeep out right and now can't even trade it in to get her a jeep she can drive due to this air bag recall. someone needs to get this situation under control and fix all the effected vehicles. we have a car sitting in our driveway now for 2 months that can not be driven.
The airbag light came on the other day. after reading jeep forums i understand this is the clock spring that has a recall for older year wranglers. i also understand that you have been notified that this is a problem with newer wranglers and have not yet issued a recall. the vehicle has 68000 miles and this is related to safety. the vehicle was stationery when the light turned on.
