Back right turn signal stays on & won't blink for turns or hazard... shop says there's short on circuit & whole tipm (power module ) needs replacing... on the internet i'm seeing lawsuits about this issue & dealerships have claimed that chrysler/ jeep will be issuing recalls but none are coming up for my vin
When it rains water leaks into the rear dome light and drips into the inside of my jeep. the light doesn't work because of this and i would think this would be an electrocution hazard. i can't have anything in the back of my jeep that could be ruined by rain water.
Turning lights on in the car and the dash lights flash 5 - 6 times then go out. doesn't matter if vehicle is stationary or moving when this occurs.headlights, radio & dome light still work as well as turn signals and 4-way flashers. when lights are on, i do not have any running lights, tail lights, interior dash lights or cup holder lights. checked all fuses and all checked good. all indications point to bad totally integrated power module (tipm). vehicle is 2 years old with no after market wiring. not having running or tail lights is a big safety issue/concern.
I've noticed my headlights in the front of my car are very bright. i usually drive a 60 mile round trip at night and it is not a rare occurrence to have more than 10 cars flash me. i do put my headlamps on the low beam, but cars still flash me thinking it's on high beams. i've talked to my friend who also has a jeep patriot 2014, he has the same problem as well.
