Takata recall. i want a timely remedy to this situation!
S61 recall in effect since september 2016 (9 months). no remedy has been issued at this point. i have been in a rental for 15 weeks and dealing with out of pocket costs while i wait on reimbursement. this has become a huge hassle with no end in sight. i refuse to drive this recalled vehicle without any guarantee that i have working safety devices protecting my family and i. jeep needs to step up and take these vehicles back. i am unable to trade it in on anything other than a jeep due to the recall. they have not offered any type of replacement at this point, other than the hassle of a long term rental that i have to pay for up front and wait on reimbursement.
Recall incomplete, remedy still not yet available.he vehicles may experience loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability in certain crash events due to a shorting condition resulting in a negative voltage transient that travels to the occupant restraint controller via the front impact sensor wires.

Several months ago i received a recall notice on my vehicle which was made in 2014. here it is 2017 and there still is no repair available. this is a safety recall. what is taking so long? recall s61/ nhtsa 16v-668. it should not take this long to correct a safety issue.
Recall in september 2016. not resolved as of may 2017. can not drive with front passengers and safety risk for family. seat belt light on and dings with passengers. main vehicle for family. when will this be resolved?
I never received a notice of this recall and i was going to trade my vehicle in and they told me that they cant give as much for it cause it had a recall so i feel that this is unsafe for my family and now i wont get what its worth so if i want to trade it in i will have negative equity which i think is unfair i shouldnt have to pay thousands of dollars more to get my car down to where i wont have negative equity they should be able to fix this problem but this has been this way since 9/16/2016
I received a recall notice and went to the website to sign up for notification when parts are available. it's been 8 months or so since the notice and still no repair. how long will this be allowed to go on? i wanted to give this car to my 16-year-old son but can't due to this issue.

Takata inflatoors: the vehicles may experience loss of air bag and seat belt pre-tensioner deployment capability in certain crash events due to a shorting condition resulting in negative voltage transient that travels to the occupant restraint controller via the front impact sensor wires. safety risk: the potential loss of air bag and seat belt pre-tensioner deployment capability in such crash events may increase the risk of injury in a crash.
I received a safety recall notice in september 2016 but was told that nothing could be done because "repair parts not available." now, 8 months later, parts are still "unavailable" and i am driving a vehicle whose airbag and/or seat belts may not work in an accident, causing myself and my passengers serious injury. how can this possibly be permitted?
The occupant restraint controller must be replaced.-i have not been notified to have this replaced on my vehicle yet!! i call jeep and apparently the recall is incomplete?! how come jeep is not taking care of this. i am concerned for those who ride in this car. what do i do? i was assured when i bought the jeep ~1yr ago from the dealer that the recall would be handled within a few months.
Unreasonable amount of time to wait for repair parts (8 months so far) and refusal to provide loaner or rental vehicle.

Takata recall - nhtsa recall #16v-668 - the recall date on this was 9/13/16 and they are still not offering a remedy. one year is way too long to wait for a safety recall involving seatbelts and airbags.
Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2014 jeep patriot. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v668000 (air bags, seat belts). the dealer stated that the contact received an interim notification, but would have to wait for a second letter to determine when the parts would be supplied from the manufacturer. the contact was uncertain as to when the dealer may receive the part and the driver's side seat belt failed to secure and was loosely connected. the dealer (autonation chrysler dodge jeep ram houston, 1515 s loop w, houston, tx 77054, (713) 489-7825) failed to schedule a repair appointment within a reasonable time frame. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown. vin tool confirms parts not available.
Received notice in september of 2016 that the occupant restraint controller was faulty and would result in a loss of airbag or seatbelt pretensioner in the event of a crash. i have contacted fca through their website as well as called my local jeep dealer (jim click auto mall) and are told only that there are no parts available. a year and no parts is not fixing a problem that could lead to death in a "timely manner".
It has been 11 months since this recall. i contacted jeep - there still isn't a fix. air bags & seat belts that do not function properly are a major safety issue. my daughter is a new driver & i'm scared to let her drive. i bought this car for safety & it is not safe. i feel like there is something wrong with the suspension - it's now rattling under the front tire.
This recall has been recognized as increasing risk of injury in the event of certain crashes, however, there is still not a remedy from the dealer. the original recall date is september 2016, so it has been nearly a year. i feel that it would be imperative that a remedy is provided in a timely fashion to prevent the need to provide a recount of an injury due to a crash. nearly a year seems extensive for providing a suitable resolution to an issue.

Our seat belt light started to mess up in june 2015, we took it to the service department and after they tried two switches i was told that it could not be fixed and that all 2014 jeep patriots do this! if you pull the seat belt out an inch from home position the light goes off, when you actually have it clicked it will still beep at you telling you that your not wearing your seat belt! we have only had this jeep since feb. 2014 and purchased it brand new! it will not pass inspection on base, so technically we are not even suppose to be driving this unsafe jeep that can't be fixed! all 2014 jeep patriots do not do this, i know a couple of people who purchased a jeep patriot within a month or two from my purchase. now the seat belt light will stay off even without me wearing my seat belt! i have tried contacting isg, nhtsa, chrysler service and cannot reach anyone about my safety issue!
