The seatbelt cam keeps locking up. it only lets the seatbelt out every once in a while.
Bought jeep in 2018 since then it has had intermittent cruise control problems. sometimes it works sometimes it dont. sometimes it works then quits working. drivers seat belt will be buckled and come unbuckled have to rebuckle intermittently. burning smell intermittently dont know if its oil, coolant or what was supposed to be fixed by jeep who said it was leaky coolant still occurs. all of this has occurred while on the road.
The seat belt in my jeep does not remain buckled some times i have to put it the receiving part several time before it clicks in and some times i will be driving down the road and it unbuckles a quick google search brings up multiple other people with the same problem i have been in another jeep patriot and the driver had trouble getting it to buckle so i have personally experienced it in two different but same year jeep patriots
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 jeep patriot. while driving approximately 20 mph, the contact's vehicle crashed into the rear of a second vehicle. the front end of the contact's vehicle sustained significant damage; however, the air bags did not deploy. also, the front passenger seat belt failed to secure the occupant, causing the passenger to make contact with the dashboard. the passenger sustained neck and torso injuries that required medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was not towed. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer and local dealer were not notified. the contact indicated that the vehicle was previously service per nhtsa campaign number: 16v668000 (seat belts, air bags). the failure mileage was 110,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep patriot. while driving at an unknown speed in heavy traffic, the vehicle lost power. the electronic throttle control and electronic stability control indicators illuminated. the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted. the vehicle was taken to leith chrysler dodge jeep ram aberdeen (910-944-7115, located at 11049 us-15, aberdeen, nc 28315) where the contact was informed that there was no recall for the failure. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v668000 (seat belts, air bags). the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
When i put my seatbelt on it comes undone while i am driving. it seems like it does not latch properly. it does not do this everytime. i have to pull my seatbelt to test and make sure it has latched. if i was ever to get in an accident, i would be worried that it would not hold.
Takata recall i am pregnant and jeep can not offer me any safety resolution,i could get into a accident and killyself amdy child i feel something needs to be done .also my front and back subfram is totally rusted out and they want to charge me for a whole lot of other things to do something with this. help please i need to feel safe in my vehicle.
The housing that holds the seatbelt to the side of the front driver's side seat has come loose. there appears to be a bolt missing and some plastic has broken off. this is causing the housing to not be secured to the seat.
Was never properly notified about the recall. it was posted sept. 13, 2016. it is now sept. 16, 2018
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep patriot. while driving 25 mph at night, the rear passenger seat belt malfunctioned. upon coming to a complete stop, the seat belt gradually tightened around the child. the contact made multiple attempts to loosen the seat belt and had to cut it to remove the child from the restraint system. a dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 72,872.
