I received a recall notice approximately 1/1/2014 for nhtsa 13v-252,and have been to the dealer three times to resolve but they never have the parts. the dealer claims that chrysler is not sending adequate quantities for demand (chrysler recall # n46). i have reached out to the chrysler group recall assistance center twice, and have been sent back to the dealer both times with no resolution. it has been an unreasonable amount of time, and i am requesting assistance from the administrator of the nhtsa for assistance in resolving this matter. the vehicle was repaired. *tr

We have made several attempts to have the recall repaired with union city, georgia at (770) 969-7229. we spoke with don jackson. each time, we were told the parts were not in and we would receive a call as soon as the parts come in. we never received a call back. we called again and again. each time, we are told the part is not in and we are promised a call back. would you kindly help. *tr

The fuel tank on your vehicle has a small chance of experiencing a fuel leak during certain types of rear end collisions. fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in an underbody fire. it has been almost a year that i have receive a safety recall. i have called the dealer and they told me i have to wait for chrysler to send another notice. are they waiting for my nine year old grandchild to get killed before they send me another notice that the parts are in. *js

More than a year after this vehicle was recalled, jeep/chrysler has still not made parts available to correct the problem with my vehicle - calls to the manufacturer and local dealership and manufacturer have not yielded any concrete actions beyond "parts should be available" in august 2014. this defect is listed as a "safety" issue by the manufacturer and yet has been allowed to go uncorrected for an extended period of time - this situation is shameful and places drivers at risk. *tr

Chrysler recall n46/nhtsa 13v-252 no parts yet to fix recall, creating a very dangerous problem. now over 9 months since recall how can this be resolved, the company says no parts are available. *js

It has been almost a year since a recall was issued due to the fuel tank having a chance of experiencing a fuel leak during a rear end collision. chrysler sent a recall letter stating that a trailer hitch would be installed to better manage crash forces in impacts. they said the parts required were currently not available. i have had no further information from them. today i call a local jeep dealer and requested the cost of a trailer hitch and was given a price. when i told them my jeep was part of the recall and there should be no cost i was told that the recall trailer hitch is different and chrysler has not released them. i think they are just stalling - a trailer hitch is a trailer hitch, i am concerned for my safety and believe that they should be required to make the fix now. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2003 jeep liberty. the contact stated that when the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the fuel pump fell inside of the fuel tank. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the fuel rod would break inside the fuel tank whenever the fuel level was at a quarter tank. the contact was instructed to keep the fuel level above a quarter tank of gasoline. the dealer replaced the fuel tank but the failure continued to occur. the vehicle warranty was no longer valid and the contact was responsible for all repair expenses. the failure mileage was approximately 60,000. the current mileage was approximately 82,000.

2003 jeep liberty consumer seeking reimbursement for out of pocket expenses for trailer hitch replacement. *cn the consumer was denied reimbursement, based on the fact the parts were after market. *jb

Dt: on september 19, 2005 smelled gas when the vehicle stalled, but it did turn over. the vehicle had been sitting for two days . consumer got back into vehicle and smelled gas again, however, consumer drove the vehicle, and then parked it for about an hour and that was when the air pressure cover blew out and the air filter was held down with metal clamps. it cut the installation in the hood of the car. had it towed to a local mechanic. they replaced the air filter, two crank sensor cams, six spark plugs, one map sensor, one injector, and air box and six ignition coils. consumer contacted the manufacturer, and they said that the consumer should have taken the vehicle taken it to a local dealer, and they will not reimburse the consumer. the service engine light was on and rmps were going up and down. *ak

While driving at any speed, the automatic transmission did not shift properly from first to second gear. the dealership inspected the vehicle several times and could not duplicate or correct the problem. *ak the consumer experienced a slippage in the first few hundred miles. there were missing and loose bolts around the transmission. the vehicle displayed a hard knock at times and was poor on gas mileage. *sc *nm *jb

Fuel line released gasoline in the engine compartment, in the area of the fuel rail, resulting in the total consumption of the vehicle.

While driving 55 mph vehicle stalled. engine check light flashed on the dashboard. driver tried to restart vehicle but was unable to do so. driver had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic replaced a fuel injector. *ak
