My jeep is equipped with a panoramic sunroof. underneath the headliner, you can hear a tapping noice while driving on uneven surfaces. this noise is present even when driving on paved roads that have small bumps or rocks. the noise sounds like a piece of the plastic or metal track is loose, causing it to tap the metal body or the glass of the roof. i have seen several concerns that match this description when researching this problem on jeep threads and blogs. in adding, after i called the local jeep dealership about this issue, they said that it was a common complaint regarding the panoramic sunroof.
I scraped the underbelly of the gas tank and the metal plate protecting the gas tank has fallen off. it was very rusty as well.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep grand cherokee. while driving approximately 15 mph over a speed hump, the front driver's side wheel detached from the vehicle. the contact had the vehicle towed to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the upper and lower ball joints failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer and dealer were made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 165,000. *pm*jb

At a patients home. jeep was parked, approximately 10 minutes went by and one of the people in the home started yelling my vehichle was rolling backwards. the driveway is flat surface. it managed to take out a fence and damage the back end of my jeep. luckily another person in the home was able to run amd jump in it before it hit trees going down a large hill.
I bought my jeep last year sometime in towards the end of march. it was towards the middle of the summer i started to noticed the leather on my front dashboard starting to lift and bubble in some areas. by the end of the summer u have massive areas that are starting to bunch up all over my dashboard. as i started to look the problem up due to ive never seen a dashboard do this before. ive come to learn this is a issue on alot of jeeps my year and jeep is doing nothing about it. i brought it to a upholstery shop and they also said they have seen this alot on the jeep of my year and that jeep wont do anything to fix it. then the shops says its gonna cost almost 4-6 thousand to repair due to the leather on the dash is shrinking and that they would have to replace the whole dashboard.
The auto start/stop feature does not properly function causing the car to shut off when we're at a full stop. i have to switch gear to park then re-start the car. the hood sensor doesn't register even if it's completely closed . the warning light on the dashboard will say it's open even when it's not.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. while the vehicle was at a stop, an abnormal noise was heard from the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to rochester hills chrysler jeep dodge ram (1301 s rochester rd, rochester hills, mi 48307, (248) 652-9650) where it was diagnosed that the floorboard needed to be replaced and the front pipe nuts both pulled out of the rear cross member, which needed to be repaired. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
Took my car to the dealer because the sunroof is leaking they tried to fix it twice failed the second time i took it the complete drivers side floor of my vehicle was wet they said the reason why it was wet because it the sunroof bolts had rusted it is less than a year old and already has rust .
