Due to passenger blender door being stuck, no heat circulates on passenger side...causes windshield to freeze up making visibility almost impossible on that side in freezing weather conditions esp. on highway at ordinary speeds. several people have addressed this on the internet..should be a recall item for safety purposes. *tr
Heat stops working - issue with doors inside engine - spoke with mechanic said very common on these vehicles and should be recalled. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that the push button start hesitated at times. after a second attempt, the vehicle was able to start, but the failure progressed without warning. the contact also stated that there was excessive fog and that the vent controls were not functioning properly. the failure was reported to the dealer and they were not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. the dealer indicated that they performed the repairs for nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v391000 (electrical system) and 14v634000 (electrical system), but provided no confirmation. the dealer only stated that these two of the four recalls were performed and that they did not know when the other two recalls would be performed. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v154000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) and 15v115000 (electrical system) and the dealer did not give a specific date for when the parts would become available. the manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for the two recall repairs. the failure mileage was not available. ma 10/5 updated 11/07/2017*cn
Vehicle traveling at 5 mph, a/c on max, fan speed at highest setting. a loud "pop", followed by a rush of refrigerant through the vents. the vents had been pointed directly at my face and i immediately started choking. within 3 seconds, the entire interior had been flooded with this dense fog of refrigerant. i could not see, i could not breathe, i thought my jeep was trying to kill me. i managed to stop the vehicle, open the door and exit before i choked to death. i opened all of the doors and let the vehicle "air out" before getting back in to drive home. the vehicle is being serviced at the dealer right now. the failure is a leak in the evaporator coil. *tr
Sitting in parking lot with air conditioner on & suddenly ac started blowing hot air. climate control automatically turned itself off. when i turned it to max ac it blew cold air. then i returned it back to ac and it blew cold air again. approximately 2 weeks later, mph at 60, same thing happened. when i took it in for service, technician explained it as coils freezing up because of humidity. no action was performed. *tr
The heater/ac blend door is broken: the driver's side gets ac but the passenger side only receive hot air. this is a very common problem with this model jeep. the dealer refuses to repair the problem under warranty. the vehicle is 2 months out of warranty and has 30,120 miles. jeeps denies this is a common problem, and yet the internet is filled with jeep blend door complaints. *tr
