The sunroof on my less than 1 month old 2014 grand cherokee exploded while going down the interstate with no other cars around and no overpasses above me. it just shattered into a thousand pieces. it sounded like a shotgun blast. chrysler doesn't seem to think they're responsible for replacing it. *tr
I received a sun visor warning recall in the mail on my 2014 jeep grand cherokee in september (recall p36 / nhtsa 14v-391). the recall advised that i should contact the dealer after september 15 2014. i called fullerton jeep in nj on friday october 3. i was told that they would order the part and call me within three weeks when it arrived. i called to follow-up 3 weeks later on friday oct 24. i was told the part was not in and they could not advise on when it would arrive. i was told they would call me when it arrived. it is now thurs nov 13 and i have not heard from the dealer. it is incredibly concerning to receive a notification in the mail in september and 9 weeks later be unable to have it repaired. this seems unacceptable. *tr
Repeated attempts to get vehicle in for recalls sun visor and brake cover (serious?) after 2 months still way down non list; also, list of recalls for this vehicle appear to include more items i have not been notified about (only notified of 2 of the 5)... *tr
Vehicle traveling at 5 mph, a/c on max, fan speed at highest setting. a loud "pop", followed by a rush of refrigerant through the vents. the vents had been pointed directly at my face and i immediately started choking. within 3 seconds, the entire interior had been flooded with this dense fog of refrigerant. i could not see, i could not breathe, i thought my jeep was trying to kill me. i managed to stop the vehicle, open the door and exit before i choked to death. i opened all of the doors and let the vehicle "air out" before getting back in to drive home. the vehicle is being serviced at the dealer right now. the failure is a leak in the evaporator coil. *tr
Sitting in parking lot with air conditioner on & suddenly ac started blowing hot air. climate control automatically turned itself off. when i turned it to max ac it blew cold air. then i returned it back to ac and it blew cold air again. approximately 2 weeks later, mph at 60, same thing happened. when i took it in for service, technician explained it as coils freezing up because of humidity. no action was performed. *tr
