2 years! for over 12 years my airbag light has been on..... for 2 years this vehicle has had this recall for the occupant restraint controller. the potential loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability ... 2 years i i have inquired about getting this fixed, for 2 years i am being told that the parts are not available... yet they are churning out new jeeps every single day... why cant this be replaced with one from the new jeeps? thankfully i haven't had an accident, and needed this airbag, but what if i would? what if i were to have an accident where an airbag could have saved my life? will jeep do something then? why aren't they being held accountable to fix this? mileage and speed entries are just number to fill the blanks, since i did not have an accident... the date filled in is the date the recall was posted.

While driving the air bag warning light came on. drove rest of the way home and disengaged car engine, restarted vehicle light stayed on. contacted mechanic and suggested to take to dealer. brought to the dealer purchased from (less than 90 days prior) they indicated one if the side airbags is broken, needs anew "skirt ass'y" and it disables all airbags for safety. how is disabling airbags helping my safety? while i can understand the need to draw a line for warranties, my vehicle is 1400 out of the bumper to bumper and the air bags are not a part that gets used. it's going to be over $900 to repair. why isn't chrysler standing behind their vehicles less than three years old? of which had airbag recalls in the recent past. *tr
