Recently reported STEERING problems on 2015 Infiniti Q50

Turned the vehicle on, pulled out of parking spot and heard a noise from the front of the vehicle as steering wheel was turned. the steering was very tight and the vehicle was difficult to maneuver. as the speed increased, the steering loosened, and as the vehicle decelerated, the vehicle became nearly impossible to maneuver. the power steering fluid is full, and the vehicle appeared to be in good condition. there were no accidents or incidents prior to this issue, and the vehicle operated without issue prior to this incident.

There are time when i go to turn my steering wheel i am giving more force to turn the car and my car shows no mechanical damage or anything but when i turn the wheel it stiffens up a lot and it is not smooth to turn especially when i am making turns i see this and it is when i'm in the city mostly.

Cars steering wheel will clunk and turn opposite directions will reversing into parking spots or slowly taking off from being stationary. this has happened a few times over the course of 4 months and i've only had the car for about 7. last night i was pulling into my driveway and the steering wheel sharply turned right, i shifted the car to park, and the car just completely died. nothing had worked at that point, no lights, ignition, keys, nothing. i got out of the car and shut the driver door and everything turned back on except now the steering wheel won't turn unless using unreasonable force. power steering light illuminated, chassis control. this has also happened on my test drive with the vehicle in december of 2018 with 54,000 miles before purchasing . the steering wheel slightly twitched and i expressed my concern to the dealer and he said it was normal. it was very lightly that you could hardly tell it did it so i wasn't suspicious of the car having problems. this has not almost caused in accidents but i have a 3 month old girl and this is very unsafe and also my only car.

Lack of steering control, responsiveness resulting in delayed turning. i was driving on a residential street, and had a delayed turn resulting in an accident.

Car pulls to the left on its own , happens pretty often. the force is so bad that i can berely keep the car on the road. have taken the car to dealer 6 times they called infiniti manufacturer engineer and he said they could not find the problem i have several videos i am afraid to drive this car. the car does that few mins after starting the car it pulls to the left with a hard force for like 2-3 mins than becomes normal like nothing ever happened.

The vehicle is on a national do not sell list, this is awful for resale value!!!

First of all this is the second instance for this, the first time it happened the dealer dismissed as the drive assist behaving normally. however while my wife was taking our son to school this morning 04-15-16, the steering wheel decided to turn to the right suddenly at 45mph, luckily my wife was able to correct for it by steering in the opposite direction. she then called me and said that something is wrong with the steering of the car and that it kept was pulling to right hard. i told her to find a safe place to pull over and turn the car off and then start it again. after she was able to stop somewhere safely she turned the car off and then restarted it and the steering seemed normal. i have expressed my concerns of the safety of the drive by wire and steering assist to the dealer we bought it from and to infiniti consumer affairs when this happened the first week of owning the car, now that it has happened again have no confidence in the safety of this car, especially with my 3 year old in it. i can not express to the worry i go through every time they drive the car. i intend on contacting both the dealer and infinity consumer affairs but i know what i can expect from them, next step is contacting a lemon law lawyer fro further advice.

The vehicle suddenly pulls very hard to the right requiring force to keep in a straight line. the vehicle did not experience any alignment altering potholes or road bumps. this is a dangerous software malfunction with the das. i am very lucky this occurred at low speed and without my children in the car.

On numerous occasions while in motion at various speeds the vehicle will audibly alert, brake, steer, and deaden throttle response. these are related to enhanced safety features of the vehicle. the problem is that these occur when there is nothing to avoid or any danger present. these have occurred at high speeds and in situations where they could have caused an accident. my local dealership blamed all issues on the placement of an ez pass transponder. i find this to be completely absurd. infiniti customer care will not assist. i have disabled all of these systems to avoid potentially dangerous situations. i note in the dates that this occured on 10/10/15, however there have been multiple instances. on 10/10/15 the vehicle steering had to be held at 30-45 degrees to the left to keep the vehicle in a straight line.

While driving on the highway 60 plus mph, i lost control of the vehicle. i turned the steering wheel left and the car went right. this occurred twice on two separate days. this is a major safety issue. ...updated 12/03/15 *bf updated 10/30/2017*js
