I was stopped in a left turn lane behind another car. a third car came from behind at approximately 40 mph and hit my car from behind, pushing it violently into the car ahead of me. my driver side airbag did not activate on impact. i suffered facial and arm injuries from striking the steering wheel. i was wearing seat belt and shoulder restraint. my car was subject to prior takata airbag recall and airbag was replaced by dealer.
'takata recall' i had my airbags replaced for recall. i recently had a collision and air bags did not deploy. injuries consisted of chest, ribs and arm. my frustrations with honda have been a constant since i've had vehicle. other issues like blow hearter wires smoking and catching fire burning my ex wifes leg. too many details to write.
Takata recall - when i called the honda dealership in ames they said they could not find my information in their data base. after i gave them my phone number, name, and vin number. it was not a pleasant experience. i would also like to complain about the brakes on my truck. i took it to the local mechanic and he could not get the brakes adjusted to where there was not very much play in the pedal. you have to push down a long ways for the brakes to engage. it is a big safety issue.
Takata inflators i took my truck in for recalls but now red light (bag inflator) is on that means they are not on. i talked to honda they said could be some dirt in my seat belt latch? it comes on as soon as i put my seat belt on.
The issue seems to occur randomly. when it occurs the check engine light, vtm4 light, vsa light and a few other warning lights light up on the instrument panel. when this occurs the truck will slow down gradually with no response from the accelerate pedal. i have to pull to the side of the road turn off the truck or let vehicle cost and it will eventually kick in. i have safety concerns with this happening at unkowing times which can either possibly cause me to wreck or someone to hit me from behind because the vehicle jist wont move i jave to coast it to the side of the road.
Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2008 honda ridgeline. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags); however, the parts for the recall repair were unavailable. the dealer (bill pearce courtesy honda, 780 kietzke ln, reno, nv 89502, 775-789-7999) was contacted and confirmed that parts for the recall remedy were not available. the manufacturer was notified and stated that they would get back in touch with the contact, but the contact had not heard from them. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
Air went off. was helping a stuck car in the middle of the road. lighty pull small civic and pushed him to the side of the road and the air bag went off.
My srs light is on...service tech had several codes : 11-40open in drivers air bag inflator and 41-11 no signal from impact the light actuated after the completion of the air bag recall service. the estimated cost is $1666 to repair i want honda motors and/or tagatta (?) to make the repair at their cost. date first appeared is not known.....i entered 1-1-18 below.....might have been earlier or later
