2003 honda odyssey. consumer writes in regards to vehicle slipping into neutral while driving. *smd
Submission from constituent re recall 04-021:c "automatic transmission recall for honda odyssey 2003" (full document not imaged). *smd the consumer stated according to an emission testing center, there was a problem with the transmission, the computer gave two codes, p0730 and p1750. the consumer was informed, the transmission recall, was performed on her vehicle in the past. however, the problem has since returned. *jb
2004 honda odyssey. consumer states vehicle had a transmission failure during a recent trip. consumer states vehicle lost power(speed) while traveling. *tgw the consumer also stated the rpm's increased rapidly and smoke starting emitting from the vehicle. the transmission and oil cooler were replaced. *jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2002 honda odyssey. the contact stated that while traveling 30 mph, the vehicle hesitated shifting between second to third gears while the speed decreased to 10 mph. the vehicle resumed to normal speed once it transitioned into forth gear. the failure occurred on four separate occasions. the vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 70,068.
Tl* the contact owns a 2003 honda odyssey. the contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph with the accelerator pedal engaged, the vehicle decelerated independently. the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. the technician diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 110,000.
The van started losing power right after the tcs light appeared. i slowed down to 45mph when i lost all acceleration and coasted to the side of the road when the vehicle stopped. the car is reported to have broken gears and the clutch in the automatic transmission that had a recall on it that reported it fixed. *tr
This car has a defective transmission. the first one failed at 80k, and the new replacement from honda failed a 119k, only 39k miles later! honda refused to warranty it or help in any way. *tt
Was exiting toll gate on i-70 at kansas city and transmission fluid came pouring out of the bottom of the tranny case. i had the transmission regularly serviced and approximately 2 months before this at service nothing unusual was detected. i had the car towed to topeka transmission service, inc. the transmission was changed. in taking my honda to the topeka honda dealership for two other recalls, they told me that there was also a transmission recall, nhtsa-04v-176000. because my transmission had already failed and been replaced they did nothing. i contacted honda motors america. they told me there was nothing they would do as i could not prove that what happened was a result of that recall. i told them they could not prove that is was not. i request your assistance in receiving compensation for this recall that i was never notified about and the subsequent transmission failure. the consumer stated she was never notified of the recall. updated 02/06/14
2012 honda odyssey. consumer writes in regards to acceleration problems. *smd the consumer stated when she slowed down or let off the gas pedal, the engine acted as though it was going to shut off, then all of a sudden it would lurch forward. it also happened when letting off the gas to turn a corner, and when she attempted to accelerate, it felt as though the vehicle was going to stall.
2002 honda odyssey. consumer writes in regards to faulty transmission in vehicle. *smd the consumer stated she was driving down the highway, when suddenly, it felt as though the vehicle had jerked out of gear or if the brake had been applied. the consumer stated she recently drove the vehicle, and the tcs and check engine lights illuminated and the vehicle started jerking again.
