Purchased vehicle from dealership. according to paperwork, vehicle has clean title. when i try to insure vehicle apparently vehicle is deemed "unsafe" because it suffered significant damage and needs a rebuilt title. dealership never made me aware the vehicle had 3 accidents. after agreeing to buy back vehicle from me, they said they would no longer accept it.

I was driving my 2019 honda odyssey up a slight incline and then suddenly i lost all power. the minivan automatically put itself in neutral and the dashboard screen switched between saying, "stop driving when safe. transmission problems. see manual" and "transmission problem. apply parking brake when parked." given that i had no power i had to pull to the side of the road. i feel lucky that this did not occur on the highway. after pulling over to the side of the road, i was unable to put the car in park or drive. it was locked in neutral. i turned off the car and when i turned it back on the car had automatically put itself in park and i was unable to put it into any gear (drive or reverse). i called honda road side assistance who scheduled a tow truck to come get the minivan. this loss of power occurred on a city street at about 25 miles per hour. i had two of my little children in the minivan and this experience was quite scary. both me and my children could have ...

2/5/2020 i was traveling at highway speeds with moderate traffic, when the main display screen in my minivan started flashing error messages. the radio display screen was acting wacky also. the van started making a loud rapid 'click.click.click." type noise. i was trying to figure out what was happening, when i noticed that the display said "p" for park. i could not accelerate to merge out of traffic. it happened so fast and was so startling. i was able to coast and move over to the shoulder and stop the van. i turned off the ignition and started it back up and it drove normally. my husband took it to the dealership and they moved the toll tag sticker on the windshield and said it was interfering with the sensors. 2/6/2020 i was too scared to drive it, so my husband drove it. he was on the freeway and the same thing happened to him. it is currently at the dealership. the dealership now says it is loose connections at the battery. the noise it made was horrible and i'm concerned that there is physical damage to the vehicle. the van has just over 5,000 miles on it ...

I have had this very problem in my 2018 ex with nav res. i'll be on the highway, going 65mph+, and i will accelerate to change lanes or pass and the engine will seemingly stall for several seconds. as i press the gas, the car actually decelerates as if it's coasting in neutral. after a few seconds, it reengages, the engine revs a little, and the car begins acceleration. i also often notice that the van does a similar thing when i'm accelerating from a stop to enter traffic or make a turn. when i hit the gas, the car coasts forward for a second before actually accelerating. it is actually dangerous, especially since it has happened when there has been oncoming traffic. i have had it into the dealership multiple times and they 'can't replicate the problem.' today my dealership told me that i should open a case with honda, which i did. i was told that the 9-speed transmission was discontinued because consumers 'complained' and 'didn't like it.' they further said that they could not replicate the problem and therefore could not fix it. in the case of my van, it is defective and dangerous. my son is ...

The POWER TRAIN
2018 Honda Odyssey

The 10-speed transmission on my 2018 honda ex-l odyssey van slips. this has intermittently happened since the vehicle was new, but it is getting worse over time. the slippage occurs most often when starting after a stop. the engine will rev for to a full second before the transmission "catches" and starts to move the vehicle. sometimes the vehicle will start with a jerk, other times, the acceleration will be slow. this unpredictable acceleration makes it dangerous to pull out into traffic. i've had several "near miss" incidents where the unpredictable transmission performance almost caused accidents. this is a safety hazard and honda needs to repair it immediately lest lives be lost.

Owner of 2018 odyssey exl resnav w/ 9speed at wife is primary driver and we recently returned from a road trip. vehicle performs very smoothly 95% of the time. the other 5% you can expect abrupt and violent up and down shifts. further, this is the safety vs annoyance issue, the vehicle will hesitate when accelerating from a stop. this is a factor threat when pulling into traffic. hesitation can and will cause an accident. honda of na needs to get to work and take responsibility for this unacceptable safety issue. someone is going to be hurt.

The POWER TRAIN
2006 Honda Odyssey

Vehicle has a approximately 140,000 mi. while driving on freeway at 65 mph.transmission torque converter lockup malfunctioned and went into neutral. had to coast across 4 lanes of traffic to exit. when speed permitted shift down to wnd and qstacks gear and was able to limp into a parkin* lot. had to have car towed to a transmission facility. pulled the transmission dip stick and smelled the fluid which emitted a very pungent smell. the fluid was not black. the fluid had been changed 15- 20,000 mi earlier. when talking to mechanic he told me almost exactly how many m8les he thought the car had because he had seen so many honda's with exactly this same problem. i believe that honda did not design this transmission properly to last with proper maintenance and fluid changes.
