While traveling at 35-40 mph i rear-ended a honda accord with my honda odyssey. the accord stopped at a red light.*ak
Within one minute of getting into my car and driving my car, the front and side airbags deployed without any outside impact to the vehicle. my drivin...
My 2007 odyssey was diagnosed as having a power steering leak. this was funny because my 2004 accord was also diagnosed with the same issue. multiple mechanics suggested that perhaps there was an issue with power steering machinery in hondas from those years. in fact, there were recalls for both 2004 accords and 2007 odysseys but our vehicle vin numbers did not fall under those recalls. however, this is still concerning that this is due to faulty parts and would like honda to consider a free replacement as they would have for those vehicles for whom the parts were recalled.
On july 2nd our vehicle wouldn't start. prior to this date the vehicle worked fine. we call honda roadside assistance and they came and jumped it. my wife let it idle for nearly 1 hour and turned it off. she returned an hour later only to find it was dead again. i decided to come home and jumped it and drove it down the hwy. while driving down the highway there was some vehicles swearving around some debris on the road and when i applied my brakes the vehicle lost power and i wasn't able to stear the vehicle fast enough and hit some of the debris. i let of the brake and the power came back on. i drove home turned the vehicle off and then tried to restart it again only to discover it was dead. i got out of my vehicle and inspected the front end which had minor scratches and cuts in the lower front driver's side bumper
The van is going backward when you put it in drive and when you press it does not go forward it just revs up the gas. the car was in motion driving when it went from driving to reving the gas and not going forward.
While at low speeds, there is a clicking noise coming from the steering wheels. this occurs while stationary and moving at slower speeds.
While braking at 50+mph, the steering wheel starts to shake violently. the car currently has 58,000 miles on it. this has been occurring for over a year. we have had the tires rotated and balanced, the rotors and break pads are good. this is becoming a safety hazard and honda needs to do something about this.
Popping in the steering column when turning wheel back; more comon at lower speeds.
After 38000 miles, my steering wheel began to make a clicking/popping sound when turning at a very slow speed, i took it in and the dealer/service center said there was a service bulletin, but it wasn't a safety hazard, also said the van had a similar issue with struts (safety bulletin issued for those as well). extremely disappointed that a vehicle with this low miles and such a good reputation for quality would have such issues and i find it hard to believe how the steering and struts are not a safety issue. prior to these issues, my rack and pinion started leaking, which is unheard of at 35000 miles.
