Tl* the contact owns a 2018 honda cr-v. after parking and locking the vehicle, an audible was heard. the contact stated that the alarm sounded even though the vehicle was locked. additionally, when the vehicle was parked and the door lock button was depressed, the audible sound for the door lock would sound; however, the vehicle was still unlocked. the contact also stated that the display would occasionally flash on and off and then go blank. also, on several occasions in inclement weather, the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light, the windshield wipers ceased to work. community honda lafayette (located at 1407 la 728-8, lafayette, la 70501, (337) 235-9086) stated that the windshield wiper was programmed to slow down when the vehicle was not moving, which was a feature of the vehicle. an appointment was scheduled with the dealer. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 8,000. *bf consumer stated forgot to say as i was going straight on hwy 90- a car was on my right in the turn lane- my car stopped and cops were coming behind- almost slammed are me in the back. ...
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the front driver's side door lock, power steering, and ignition switch malfunctioned. wolfchase honda (2982 n germantown pkwy, bartlett, tn 38133, (901) 255-3700) stated that the door locks needed replacement, but there was no guarantee that this would remedy the failure. in addition, the power steering was leaking fluid, but the dealer did not know if it was the steering pump or hose. the dealer stated that they would have to disassemble the power steering to diagnose the failure. the contact was informed that the power steering may last until march. the contact also had difficulty placing all four keys in the ignition. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 160,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the rear driver's door did not lock when using the key fob. the contact had to play with the key fob in order for the door to lock. the vehicle was taken to brown honda (located at 6155 central ave, toledo, oh 43615, (419) 841-2222), but was not diagnosed or repaired. the contact also stated that the front passenger door lock actuator was previously replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to call the dealer. the approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the front driver and passenger doors did not lock. the contact also stated that the doors made an abnormal winding sound as if something was pulling the doors. an unknown warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to mcconnell honda (2840 eastern blvd, montgomery, al 36116, (334) 271-2500) where the passenger door was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the front driver's door was not repaired because the mechanic stated that there was no recall. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 21,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. while the vehicle was parked, all four doors locked and could not be unlocked electronically or manually. the contact called aaa to get the doors open. the failure occurred numerous times. the dealer (ourisman honda of laurel, 3371 laurel fort meade rd, laurel, md 20724) was contacted and informed the contact to call nhtsa. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 110,000.
Defective door locking systems in 2013 honda cr-v vehicle. we have had to replace 3 door lock actuators on our 2013 cr-v and now have had a 4th door lock actuator go bad. we have spoken with american honda, and they informed us that the actuator is not defective. well, if it is not defective, then why is it not working? we asked to speak to a manager, and were informed that the manager would tell us the same thing. we have spoken with other honda owners of different vehicles, and they are also experiencing door lock actuator problems with their vehicles, whether it be a cr-v, accord, civic, etc. my previous 2008 honda civic had to have 12 door lock actuators replaced. i've spoken with a couple of the honda service techs, and they laughed when i told them about the door actuator problem. one tech said they replaced them quite often. this is a defective product and a class action lawsuit needs to be started to remedy this known problem. there was a class action suit against honda for 2007-2011 honda cr-v's which honda settled. sincerely, ...
