Driver and passenger door freezes and although the doors appear to unlock when parked the doors will not open. evan after 30 minutes of travel time when car has more than ample time to warm itself. also door locks me out even with the fob on my person. the car is stationary in both situations.

This happened in my driveway, where we have lived for over 25 years. the wiring used for the main harness is made with a soy base product. not only mice or rats, squirrels and other animals can smell this out and destroy the wiring. i was told that one man has had his main harness replaced 3 times. if a soy based product is being used, then the repairs that will be needed over and over from rodents should be covered under a warranty for wiring for the entire life of the car!! this harness goes to control all of the information that is in the cars computer system. i am an elderly disabled senior on a fixed income. i can not afford to buy this car and then turn around before it is even a year old to have to fork out $1400.00 for a new wiring harness, you knew this would happen, but did not care!!! therefore your product is highly defective!!! i will never buy another honda car and i will definitely promote the problem of the wiring info to inform others not to purchase these vehicles!!! the poor service that you have given customers concerning this is totally wrong!!!!! by doing this they are creating a completely different problem. mice, rats and rodents carry all kinds of diseases and by enticing them with soy based wiring, you are causing another problem that could be much worse for your customers, if they were to be bitten by these rodents!!!! why don't you people think about what would be worse, the environment or dead customers and the lawsuits from that!!!!

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 honda cr-v. while operating the vehicle, various warning indicators suddenly displayed, including "brake system failure", "road departure mitigation system problem", and "collision mitigation system problem". also, the vehicle would not immediately stop when depressing the brake pedal. after turning the engine off and back on, the vehicle resumed normal operation; however, the failure later recurred. the vehicle was taken to baron honda (17 medford ave, patchogue, ny) where an unknown module was replaced, but the failure continued. the vehicle taken back to the dealer where it was determined that the electronic brake booster needed to be replaced. the manufacturer provided case number: 101365007. the failure mileage was 3,900.

We were driving a crv which is less than 6 months old. all of a sudden all safety systems failed. the breaks system, colliosion avoidence, lane assist, acc. all failed. fortunately we were at 20 mph so we were able to safely stop the crv. we towed the crv to the dealership and they after 4 days were able to figure out that all the safety systems had failed as there was an electrical shortcurcuit which has blown the fuses and the control system. the cause of the electrical short was traced to exopsed wires in the rear view mirror assmebly which were damaged by an ornamnet we had hung. the reason i am complaining is i want to bring it to your attention of this manufacturing defect. 1.lot of people hang ornamnets/ car freshner etc and this defect can cause a very serious system failure with all safety systems failing when the crv is in motion. 2.this crv is less than 6 m old so it also indicates to the poor designand manufacture . 3. crv is one of the most popular suvs sold in usa so lot of people are at risk. 4. the design engineer knew the importance of these wires so have a protective rubber insulation but the insulation leaves a gap where the wires are exposed, and can be damaged. i have dramatic video showing this incident when we were drving and the exposed wires, the short cricuit damage and the ornament that they are blaming for this incident. i have the video that i could not load in this complain as the sytem would not allow it to be loaded ,but i would be pleased to share if needed.

Battery dies overnight. car has only 1000 miles and i've had to jump it 3 times plan to call dealer for warranty work, but i see from other postings that this is an unresolved issue for honda. calling them anyway. a new car should not behave this way.

Infotainment screen will sometimes just start making beeping noises as if you are pushing buttons, while at the same time the screen goes dark, and or the screen brightness option comes on to the screen. dealer says its a known problem but i don't see it listed anywhere. unsafe and very distracting. not sure if the back-up camera will still work because the system started up again and is now working. vehicle was in motion and didn't reset until i turned the car off and back on again .

Brand new vehicle with barely 450 miles turned off out of nowhere. all possible dashboard faults were displayed and car wouldn't start. brakes got locked at some point and couldn't push car away from road. many customers have already encountered this issue and honda is aware but claims that they dont have any bulletins or recalls. it is a safety issue to be driving this car. car has been at the dealership for 3 days now and mechanics/technicians can not find the problem. honda dealership where vehicle was purchased shows lack of interest on helping me. honda dealership where car was taken keeps working on the issue. vehicle wont start. three days at the dealership now.

The automatic vehicle braking system applied urgent brakes on its own when no other car was in front, nor was any other obstacle in front of our car. this is a huge concern because, the system applying automatic brakes could have resulted in a collision.

American honda motor co., inc. (honda) is recalling certain 2019 model year cr-v vehicles. the metal core of the steering wheel may contain burrs, which can damage the cable reel sub-harness and cause a short-circuit. this can result in inoperative steering wheel-mounted control buttons (including the horn), illumination of the supplemental restraint system (srs) warning indicator, and/or an uncommanded deployment of the drivers airbag. honda was unwilling to tell me about the safety concerns related to this recall or provide a loaner vehicle. they are not able to fix this issue until the end of august/early september.

I went into my garage for something and noticed a humming noise coming from the crv which had been parked in there for several hours. i walked around the car but couldn't locate the exact location the noise was coming from. when i opened the drivers door the noise stopped. this has happened only one time that i know of but if its an electrical short it could cause a fire.

Car 2 months old, have only put 1300 miles on it, let it sit for 5 days, and battery totally dead! nothing was left on, had to jump car and alarm came on along with all sorts of warnings, called dealer who talked me through resetting radio, ect, and informed there is a recall, made appointment, i can't find any active recall. also radar brake warning systems fail repeatedly in rain and snow.

Brand new 2019 honda cr-v ex-l: electrical problem,4/10/19 at 200 miles, battery completely dead after 2 days of not driving because computer program error. honda is aware of problem, but does not instruct the dealer to fix the problem before selling its cars. engine problem at 12 mile and up, bought the car in march,2019, smelled gasoline in engine oil at dipstick, the level was over max mark by 1/4", was told that honda already implemented the solution prior to selling 2019 model to the public. obviously, it did not solve the problem. dealer was no help, refuse to admit that the oil was over maximum and mixed with gasoline. 5-9-19 at 1467 miles, paid to change oil and filter at dealer and started to monitor oil condition and level closely. discovering that the oil level was still over maximum mark by 1/4" after returning home and engine was cool. 5/13/19 at 1600 miles, drained 1/4 qt. of oil out to bring the level down to 1/8" below max. mark. discovered that the oil had already turned black after less than 200 miles , 4 days after oil change. saved sample of the black oil for dealer. 5/14/19 at 1694 miles, showed sample of newly changed black oil to the dealer service dept. was told that this dirty oil could be typical of this 1.5 turbo engine. dealer admit this time from the oil sample that there is gasoline smell mixed in with engine oil. paid for another oil and filter change myself. dealer did not offer to do anything except telling me to contact honda engineering. will continue to monitor the oil status, and possibly ask for help from honda usa. honda is not doing the right thing for the customer since it has known this since 2017 model year. seriously, considering other brand of vehicle in the future. if the new oil and filter can get completely dirty in less than 200 miles, i would be required to change oil every week!

Continual battery failures, batteries go dead if not driven every day. on my second battery and died as two days not being driven. some sort of parasitic drain?

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start without warning. the vehicle was towed to thomas team honda (814-262-2140, located at 1920 bedford st, johnstown, pa 15904) where the technician stated that the vehicle needed to be driven everyday to keep the battery charged. the technician also stated that the contact may need to get a battery tender. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that a case worker would be assigned. the contact did not hear from a case worker. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 400.

Left car parked for 5 days. nothing left on but battery was drained. needed to call a tow truck for a jump start. when vehicle came back on, alarm sounded and all safety systems were off-line. slowly they came back online again. only 1,600 miles on it. also, lock and unlock not consistently working on vehicle. also noted radar for front and back collision does not work in snow and rain (see picture).

I am having the same problem the honda pilot is having, my infotainment/radio has not worked since i bought the car on march 1st. it does not connect to apple car play and the screen suddenly just goes black. it plays pandora sporadically but never works consistently.

Purchased 2019 honda cr-v on february 9, 2019. drove only twice in the first 2 weeks. attempted to drive for the 3rd time (101 miles on odometer) on the 2 week anniversary of buying, february 23, 2019 and the car was completely dead! honda sent tow truck, driver charged battery. took into honda today for inspection, they checked the battery and only the battery and said it was fine, nothing more they could do. i would have liked them to check and see what drained the battery. the car sat from tuesday to saturday, i would expect it to start without an issue. spoke to sales associate who said that new cars tend to drain the battery if the windshield wipers are left in the on position. i don't know why that would even be a possibility but if that is a fact it should be corrected.

On saturday, february 16, 2019 while driving on a clear afternoon, we went onto the entry ramp for the highway to rt 95 s. the ramp was not straight and had curves. when an attempt was made to apply the brakes to slow for the first curve, they did not respond as they should, they pulsed and locked. at the same time, the digital dash began displaying multiple warnings of systems not functioning including brake, emergency brake, transmission, power steering, tire pressure, lane assist, cruise control, hill assist,, etc. with difficulty we were able to pull onto the grass shoulder of the highway, there was not a breakdown lane in view. we tried shutting the car off and restarting, and the warnings persisted. i contacted honda assistance and they sent a tow truck. the tow driver stated he had difficulty loading the car because of the brakes being locked. at the honda dealership, they also could not release the brakes to off load the car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 honda cr-v. while driving 70 mph, the vehicle shook, vibrated, and began to decelerate. also, the electric parking brake, transmission, brake system, brake hold, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, road departure mitigation system, blind spot information system, and auto high beam system warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 800.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 honda cr-v. after turning the vehicle off, the battery drained and the vehicle could not be restarted. the vehicle was towed to middletown honda (520 rt. 211e, middletown, ny) where the battery was replaced, but the failure continued. the contact was informed that the failure was caused by an epa module inside the vehicle, but no repair was available. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 100.

The battery is repeatedly dead after a day or so if not driven. the dealer says a draw of 0.500 amp was found from the evaporation detection module and there needs to be a software update to fix it. they cannot give me any timeline for this update other than to say "they are working on it". in the meantime, anytime i do not drive the car for a day or two, i need to get a "jump" to get it started.

My 2019 honda cr-v's battery dies after sitting in my garage for two days. it has only 320 miles on it.

If the car sits for 2-3 days without running the battery drains and dies completely. we have been told that it is related to an evac test that is performed 5 hours after the car is shut off. apparently honda is aware and is working on a software upgrade.

If the car sits for 24 + hours the battery dies, i have had this happen 6 times now. called dealer 3+ times, brought it in they first said it was the battery (which we all knew it was not) but they put in a new one they said. anyhow as you already know this is an electrical issue that needs to be fixed a.s.a.p.. dealer now tells me honda is working on a fix but in the mean time i have had to have the car jumped and paid for this as well it's a major nuisance i want fixed very soon or want my money back and i will buy another car. this has been goin on since i bought this car dec. 28th 2018

Vehicle battery was dead after the suv sat unused for 2 days within 3 weeks and 300 miles of ownership. this has occurred over 6 times in 3000 miles. battery has been replaced by the battery twice and is now on its third battery. dealer notes this problem exists on all 2019 crv's delivered to-date and that they do not yet have a solution.
