Problems with 2015 Honda CR-V UNKNOWN OR OTHER

On average, the 2015 Honda CR-V starts to “feel” problems with the UNKNOWN OR OTHER and its various aspects after 8 850 miles.

Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2015 Honda CR-V

There's annoying vibration on the driver's seat when i stopped in a red light. i was driving yesterday in very nice highway at 65 mph . my 24 year old daughter at the back seat telling me that the car is so bouncy and asked me if it needs tire rotation. i'm so worried and mad that don't have a time to bring this back to the dealership with another problem since i brought it in the dealership for vibration when accelerating in 65 mph 2 weeks ago. can i get my $ 34,000 .00 plus back? please help me !!!

Bought this vehichle month ago. around 1000 miles on odometer now. vehichle have terrible vibration when stop in drive gear at stop lights or in slow traffic. vibration are strong and made me nauxious in slow traffic one day. i took car to dealer but they not accepting it as a problem but saying its a charactristic of this vehichle. they updated the ecm software but problem still there. i am afraid this can get worse and result into major component failure or safety hazard. honda should find the fix or stop selling

Front end vibrations while stationary

The car has a terrible vibration issue when stopped at a light or in traffic with your foot on the brake and the car in drive. this vibration is felt on the inside throughout the car. having to place car in n, at stoplights (many are now doing it, and some honda dealers are advocating it ! they also suggest turning the ac on high, turn the lights and radio on, etc.) all of this is very distracting. if one forgets to put the car into d in order to accelerate, he could get rear ended, or get stranded under a light; driving in s, however, one must be very careful doing this in traffic, as the car accelerates very quickly, and it tends to lunge a bit ! in this instance, it is very easy to rear-end a car in front of you. in addition, driving in s cuts fuel economy (i have learned ) about 25-30%. where did i learn to try s instead of d ? a honda dealer !! so, this idea that this issue is not a potential safety concern is not true for all drivers who are trying to reduce the fatiguing, annoying effects of these vibes, shudders, and shakes.

Bought the crv 2015 a month ago, started experiencing vibration when idle, at traffic lights, when parked. took it to the dealer, they said it's normal, they don't see a problem. i researched the issue and many, many people have the same problem with honda not having a solution for it. very concerned about the safety of the car. no help at the dealer, treated me as if i was crazy.

Honda 2015 crv l purchased 09/24/2015,two weeks after purchase the vehicle start to have ruff idling in drive shakes and vibration while in traffic. brought the vehicle back to the dealer twice and the only thing is that they have no fix for this problem. the service department is saying that corporate are working on it. i spent 30,000 dollars on this vehicle and would expect the vehicle to run good.

I purchased a 2015 cr-v. on october 1st noticing significant vibrations at idle which became more pronounced under way especially between 60 and 70 miles / hour. brought the vehicle, to the dealer, on october 3rd to determine what the cause of the vibration might be. the vibrations were confirmed by the mechanic during a test drive. the front wheel alignment and balance were checked and found to be within specs. a service bulletin was found instructing the mechanic to perform a software update. a second test drive showed no improvement. honda technicians were called who acknowledged that they were aware of the issue and that honda was working on it (apparently since 2014). the technicians indicated that the issue was thought to be related to "harmonic distortions" associated with the use of the drive train, found in the honda accord, in the 2015 cr-v. the honda technicians offered assurances that there were no safety issues. i then took the vehicle to a different dealer who checked the same mechanical parameters including the software update with no improvement. the matter has been further acknowledged, by honda, as evidenced in a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vej45wx9yci). a cursory search of the web shows quite a number of reports of the issue. apart from the effect on driveability and no resolution in sight, my concerns are the potential long term effects on the vehicle especially with regard to the drive train and other possible safety related effects.

My vehicle vibrates while in drive and sitting at a street light or stop sign. i took the vehicle into the honda dealership because of tsb 15-046. i picked the vehicle up and it appeared to have eliminated the vibration, but the vibration came back in about a week.

Purchased honda crv awd ex model on sep 30 with cvt transmission, after 300 miles now started seeing engine vibration when in idle or stopped at signal, feel the vibrations on steering wheel, dash board, and passenger seat feels very disturbing. complained honda but no use.

Vibration at idle and very bad at 60 to 75 mph.taken it to dealer several times to no satisfaction.i have driven over 3 million miles professionally and many personal miles in my 76 years.i have never purchased a knew vehicle like this2015 honda crv.i am concerned this is a safety issue.i think it is transmission problem or drivetrain.

The car is vibrating like crazy. we bought it brand new and i called the sales person after purchasing and he told me there are complaints about the vibration but nothing is wrong and that it is normal. the vibration is getting worse and am getting sick of driving a $30,000 car with vibration.

I bought 2015 honda cr-v ex just 4 week ago, it has a huge vibration that you can feel and see inside the vehicle especially when its stop and in idle mode or drive shift. vibration can feel in the seating, steering wheel, side doors, brake and gas pedals, shift knob and even the back passager seat. i bought this car for my family to enjoy their daily rides but their not, and keep asking me why has it. psychologically and emotionally my driving concentration are always affected, and that is unsafe for our everyday driving and to anyone who has this issue. i always feel sick every times i get out of this car, i feel my hand like i use a jack hammer after a while. dealer's service dept. confirmed to me that there are three issues that cause the vibration and there is no fix yet about the issue. i love honda eversince, it my favorite brand. i hope they can do something to fix it fast before any can get hurt..

Strong vibration on the front seats when engine is warm and rpms below 600.

Car was pulling into a parking spot at a local dept store parking lot. the can was put in park. then an attempt was made to turn off vehicle. the engine excelerated and starting to push the vehicle opposite our vehicle out its parking spot, my wife tried stopping the vehicle by braking that did not work or did pushing the ignition button. she then turned the car to the right in driving lane toward the store, brakes , horn, or power steering did not work, she was able the turn the vehicle away from store to next turning lane. engine still racing, grinding sounds can what seemed to be the transmission. the car went another 300ft. jerk and finally shut down. vehicle was towed away. the collision shop started it and drove to a spot til the repairs were to be made. i only have a partial police report from town of amherst police rjamq94shd49. the police also did an deployment inspection of the computer, which showed nothing, since the impact to the other vechicle was less than 10mph. the insurance company is leaving this up to me the consumer to go after honda to get them to take a further look at the other commputers.i dont have the fullpolice report or the results of the deployment report. i hope to have info soon.

Bought the crv 2015 2 weeks ago and from day 1 felt the vibration when on red lights at full stop. never bothered untill cold weather came in few days ago when i operated the vehicle without turning the a/c on. it vibrates within few seconds of putting it at a full stop for traffic/ red signals. the vibration has been compared to other similar class different branded suvs but none showed such behavior. the car feels like a spark plug is gone when it shakes. its an abnormal issue and the vibration also causes the surpentine belt pulley to make a little noise usually which we see in very old cars having worn out pullies.

My new 2015 honda crv is vibrating when stopped at the traffic light. vibration is uncomfortable and nauseating. the vibration get worst everyday. took the car to dealership and they couldn't fix it.

My 2015 honda crv which i bought new in sep 2015 has front end vibration problems. first it idled rough while in gear stopped and rpm at 600. i returned the crv to the dealer and this problem was repaired in oct 2015. second, my crv vibrates in the front end and steering wheel at speeds of 70 - 80 mph. i returned it to the dealer three times and the tires were balanced and vibration continued. on the second (nov 2015( and third (apr 2016) visit, the dealer performed a "road force balance" and that only reduced the vibration about 50%. i was told by the service manager there is no fix to this vibration issue and that the vibration is a "characteristic" of this vehicle and similar vehicles. he also stated every vehicle has quirks. in other words, i'm stuck with this problem. had i known about this before purchasing the crv, i would not have bought it, plain and simple. i only have 5200 miles on my crv.

I purchased my honda cr-v touring 2015 on august 29, 2015,approximately five weeks ago. it has a vibration when stopped while in drive (like at a stop light or stop sign) it also has an intermittent strong vibration in the steering wheel on highways. i am very unhappy with my purchase and as i searched this problem on the internet, i've seen a lot of people are experiencing this problem. they all say when they take it back to the dealer it does not get repaired and apparently honda is acknowledging that there is a problem now. being that i work,i do not have time to go back to the dealer and sit there knowing (from other people's experiences) that it will not get corrected.

Vehicle vibrates when idling and when traveling at approximately 50 - 55 miles per hour. honda has been aware of the problem for sometime and they are attempting to come up with a fix for this issue, but the problem still exist. in spite of the vibration problem with the crv, honda continues to sell the crv without disclosing this known defect to the buying public. while honda says this is not a safety issue, how can a buyer know that for sure.

My new honda 2015 cr-v lx is vibrating badly. it vibrates in any speed and on parking. it started on the 5 day and got worse to the point that i feel nauseous. it creates very unsafe driving for me. my body shakes. driver seat shakes. and vibration is very loud. honda dealership knew the problem but still sold me defective car. driving this car creates dangerous situation on the road. it is difficult to change lane, transmission starts making loud sounds.

In june of 2015, i purchased my 2015 cr-v from j.p. thibodeaux in new iberia, la. in august, i brought my vehicle to the dealership due to excessive vibration at idle. honda performed 2 manufacturer updates but my vehicle still vibrates. when i am at a red light on the highway, my vehicle vibrates excessively which is a safety concern. it is a distraction when an emergency vehicle approaches from behind at an intersection. the excessive vibration distracts me and it is a safety concern as a consumer. after several repair attempts, my vehicle still vibrates. the vibration is excessive and american honda states that it is a characteristic of the new 2015 earth dream engine. as of this date, american honda has no fix and stated that the company cannot fix the vibration due to epa regulations.

Car vibrates at stop and/or stop and go traffic. vibrations cover driver and passenger front seat and dashboard. idle is rough. honda claims a software fix is upcoming but no evidence is to whether that's true or when it will be done. no information on what the safety and stability ramifications to the car are coming from the vibrations.

Oil on garage floor,

Vehicle vibrates 70% of times while in stop or idle with engine on. complained about this with honda & following up on the same. case # : 04549479

Vibration on idle and when pushing the brakes.

While the car is running and stopped in gear , there is a strong vibration felt and seen on the driver and passenger seats . ( i bought this car on a day with hot weather , the dealer had the air conditioner running on the test drive . the vibration problem does not occur while the air-conditioner is on ! ) . i was not told the car had the vibration problem at time of purchase . honda knew about this problem before selling me the car ( $25,000 ) . it is an ongoing problem for this particular 2015 year and model , going on since 2014 , with no fix for the vibration problem .

When going down a hill, even a small hill, the rpms increase to 3000-3500. the engine whines and the vehicle feels as though it is being held back. if the hill is a long hill, the rpms go down and the vehicle lunges forward and accelerates. this repeats until the end of the hill. at the end of the hill, the final lunge and acceleration is dangerous if there is a stop sign at the end as the vehicle is accelerating. honda claims that the cvt transmission is supposed to work like that. i feel it is unsafe and do not want to be a statistic in order for honda corporation to fix it. the problem occurs daily since i bought the vehicle.

The car has a horrible vibration when at idle and park. you can actually see the car shake and it makes my hands numb when holding the steering wheel.

my newly purchased 2015 honda crv was just 4 days old from the dealership, when i drove to work from my home (35 miles into my commute). i was going from 55 mph to 45 mph when the car started to vibrate. the vibration was noticeable because i felt it in my hands, while gripping the steering wheel, and on the drivers-side floorboard. when i made it to work, i parked but kept the car on. the gear shift was in "drive" and the vibration continued. i moved the gear shift to "neutral" and you can actually hear the sound of the car change and the vibration eased a bit. it's very upsetting to know that when i asked the honda dealership if they were aware of the problem, they said only 1 person complained, but that they've sold hundreds of crvs. today, aug 5, 2015, i brought in my honda to the dealership (they were aware that i was bringing in the honda and they were nice to give me a "loaner" car) while they did an inspection. they immediately said it sounded like it was a wheel alignment issue. later that afternoon, when i picked up the crv, i was told that the dealership service department didn't find any problems and that it's safe to drive. i asked them if they've received any notification about the vibration issue. that's when they gave me a honda tech line summary article dated april 7, 2015. if the honda dealership had disclosed that information, i would not have purchased this vehicle!! i asked one salesman specifically about any recalls or complaints and i was told there were none! please do something about this problem!!!!

Backed car out of garage and it shook and died.

Backed out of parking space at work when car shook and died.

Was backing car out of garage and it shook and then died.

On may 2nd, 2015, we purchased a 2015 honda cr-v. at the time of purchase a water stain was noticed on the passenger side b pillar roof. part of the purchase agreement included removing the stain that seemed to be from a partially opened sunroof during shipping. the stain was removed by the dealership and checked by the dealership and all appeared to be resolved. a short time later another water stain developed in the same area. again the stain was removed and the vehicle checked. after the cr-v's third visit to the shop it was determined that an "insufficient amount of seal sealer" was used in the assembly of the vehicle at the factory. our honda had to be sent to an outside honda approved body shop for repairs. on discovering the extent of the problem, we no longer had confidence in the quality of our "new" vehicle. given the fact it had sustained water damage multiple times and had to be taken to an auto body shop to be properly repaired with only a few hundred miles. we had concerns about water being trapped between the multiple layers of metal roof panels. in turn that could lead to rust, which could lead to the release of the seam sealer that helps provide the rigidity needed for rollover crashes. also, the concern of mold developing in the roof and carpet. upon hearing our concerns the dealership agreed to trade in our water damaged cr-v for a new one. with less than 100 miles this cr-v also developed a roof leak. now the dealership and body shop has had our current cr-v two weeks, to fix the leaked caused by honda not using enough sealer on the passenger side roof panels and rail studs.honda is now using our cr-v as field report case study to submit to honda engineers. we would like honda to issue a recall out of concern for other cr-v owners. many owners may be unaware of mold dangers and structural roof weakness.

My car is 8 days old, started to vibrating on day 4th. also lacks of power backing up. updated 09/15/15*lj updated 11/27/2017*cn

2015 cr-v touring vibrates in park or drive (when the car is not moving). the rpms are about 550 to 600 and at times seems like the engine wants to turn off. vibration overall is pretty strong, i hope honda fixes this issue. a/c can be on or off, same issue.

There is a high vibration and engine noise, and is getting worse with time when i stop at a red light. even after taking the car in for honda to fix the problem, after 4 times the issue has not been fixed.

Was backing car out of garage and engine quits.

Was pulling into parking space when about to put vehicale in park ,unanttended acceleration occurred causing vehicale to jump to concrete curbs and plowing over small bushes and yard sign, avoiding colliding with concrete light pole made hard right turn back into parking lot .avoiding head on collision with another vehicale made hard left turn colliding with two parked vehicale and shrubs beyond vehicale wich brought to a stop killing the engine,i was on the brake all this time the crv would just not stop.

To nhtsa i recently purchased 2015 honda cr-v awd on june 18th, 2015. day after i purchased the vehicle, i found out that there is very obvious vibration on driver and passenger seat when the vehicle idle or stays under 2200 rpm. i took it to the dealership and even they had agreed with the problem. i am aware that honda is currently analyzing the issue and have not found or fixed the vibration problem yet. i am requesting nhtsa to investigate 2015 honda cr-v awd. they are still selling these vehicles when they do not have solution. thanks, best regard

Vibration felt at 20-25 mph and at higher speeds through the steering wheel and by sound with the vibration becoming stronger as the mileage increases. discussions with the honda dealership concerning a refund have not been fruitful. i am concerned that the problem may result in a crash; but honda is very slow to resolve the issue.

Was backing out of garage and engine stops.

Severe, continuing vibration of the steering wheel, drivers seat, passenger seat, drivers side floor and gas pedal when driving at 60 mph or higher. this problem was noted when the vehicle was purchased (it was a trade from another dealership) and was told the tires needed to be balanced. the vehicle has been serviced 3 times for this problem on 6/20/15, 6/27/15 and 7/2/15. each time the vibration began within 2 days of service. the longer the vehicle is driven, the worse the vibration becomes. the service department at the dealership says they will solve the issue, they haven't. i contacted another dealership and was told honda is aware of the issue and working on a fix. i purchased this vehicle a month ago, now have 2200 miles and no solution to this problem. it is terrible!! when driving on the highway everyday (30 miles each way) to and from work, the vehicle vibrates so much i am fearful of something severe happening while i drive.

Oil leak under the engine.

I was driving 40 mph on a country road in solano county, california a couple weeks ago. as the road made a jog to the right, another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction toward me was momentarily in front of my car due to the jog in the road. my collision avoidance system evidently detected the other vehicle and momentarily applied the brakes on my car. had there been another vehicle following me at the time, there is a high probability that my car would have been rear-ended. there is a similar issue with the collision avoidance system i recently read about which affects similar acura suv's. the acuras affected are being recalled. i don't see a recall notice on similar honda crv's.

My vehicle shakes and vibrates while idling. i have taken my vehicle to the dealership three times. a solution has not been found. the vehicle has under 6,000 miles (purchased may 2015).

My 2015 crv has a consistent shudder and vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and seat while driving. it is most noticeable at 1000 rpm's and 2000 rpm's. this vibration is very distracting and causes fatigue during longer trips. also severe vibrations at the idle, around 600 rpm's when stopped at stop lights or in traffic. the vibration makes the car extremely uncomfortable to drive for the driver as well as the passenger.

The vehicle vibrates/shudders when in drive gear and idling. the shudder decreases considerably if the car is shifted to neutral. the vibration happens in both regular drive and eco mode, and now occurs consistently while at idle speeds (at stop sign or red light). both front seats shake quite a bit - the problem is reduced considerably if you switch to neutral. honda acknowledged the problem in a video posted in april, but no solutions/remedies have been communicated to owners. it began as a less noticeable shake/vibration (i drove a diesel before so was accustomed to some vibrations- and didn't think much of it at first), but as i have put more miles on the car (i now have 1,800 miles) - the vibrations have become considerably more noticeable, and recently passengers are commenting about it. i am concerned that this vibration will continue to increase and may cause the safety of the vehicle to be compromised. its not a minor vibration/shudder- the difference between neutral and drive gear is very pronounced.

I was driving and every time i stopped at a red-light with the air conditioner off, the car would vibrate so much the seat next to me would visibly shake. i also felt my seat and steering wheel shake a lot. not just to the extent that a normal vehicle would, but a lot! i literally felt the vibrations throughout my body. this is a brand new 2015 honda crv ex and is not at all normal. i have driven many hondas and none of them have done this. even my 13 year old honda pilot does not do this.

Vibration while at idle or 2200 rpm while driving and sitting. took to dealership and they try to fix and it was a no fix. brand new car running like a worn-out vehicle. honda says it is not a safety issue, firmly disagree, eventually consistent vibrations will cause parts to loosen. do we have to wait for accidents to happen before honda and the government to address this issue? it is a distraction when driving and a safety concern. it is a safety concern. battery already had to be replace also that should not have happen. heater/ defroster motor thing had to be replace also. this has been a ongoing problem since i got the car in march 2015
