Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's side and rear windows fogged up drastically on two occasions. the contact expressed that the rear defroster may be defective. the dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted.
Tl*the contact owns a 2006 honda civic. the contact states that while driving approximately between 60-65 mph on normal road conditions. the driver side sun visor released in the downward position without assistance. the sun visor failed to remain in a secured position. the defective sun visor obstructed the driver's visibility. the failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation or stationary. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection. the sun visor was replaced under the service warranty. there were 2 separate occasions the identical failures occurred to the driver side sun visor and passenger sun visor which were replaced. the driver will install a new driver side sun visor for the most recent failure. the failure mileage was 28,000 and the current mileage was 71,000.bl updated 10/09/09 *cn updated 10/16/09
Dt*: the contact stated while attempting to open the drivers side window, it came off the tract. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. the dealer maneuvered the window back into the tract, however it was determined the problem would reoccur due to the type of materials the tract was made of. the manufacturer has not been alerted.
Rear windshield lifts off at right rear pillar when the air of closing the driver or passenger door pushes it out of the frame. two days later at the service appointment, the rear windshield had lifted off the entire roof line, with a height of 2 inches at the right rear pillar. honda service dept. said they'd never seen anything like it; the caulking had not been sufficient to keep the windshield in place. they reglued it. an acquaintance in nj saw the same thing happen to the 2006 honda coupe in front of him. he changed lanes fast. *jb
Dt*: the contact stated the heated side mirrors were losing their reflective capability. there was no damage to the exterior of the mirrors but there were black areas of 2 inches by 2 inches, no longer of use on the mirrors surface. the service dealer and manufacturer were not notified.
Front windshield makes cracking/creaking noises from all areas around window where glass meets seal/metal. this occurs when the vehicle travels over any fluctuation in the road. some instances of creaking around the rear windshield, and even more rarely in the dashboard of the vehicle. extremely distracting. made noises since the car was new - 2 months old and severity of noises increasing. honda dealership noted noises but unaware of how to fix this issue (toronto honda). *jb
Front power windows come off track. had car to dealer twice for driver's window before repaired. then passenger window started with problems. also, now drivers window runs slow at times in same fashion before previous problem. *nm
