Takata recall so i w on my way to work ad s involved in an accident at the time all i knew was after trying to apply the brakes the vehicle did not stop. the car was toed and considered a total loss i was ticketed for careless driving. after paying to get the vehicle back in my possession i was looking threw the car and realized the floor mat was stuck under the peddles i then when and ran the vin on car facts and found an open recall for this same problem . i was never once notified about a recall on this vehicle i am now having to pay for others car repair and medical bills due to a problem that should never have happened i am at a loss and dont know what to do.

As the consumer was pulling away from the inside of the garage, the vehicle suddenly accelerated with out touching the gas pedal. the brakes were not functional and the vehicle went through the wall. finally, the vehicle stopped when it hit the wall. the dealer was notified. *ak *sc the consumer stated there was an open recall regarding this issue. *jb

During 2000 (est) i brought my car to honda dealer to replace the ignition switch.and get a new set of keys i think i paid about $800 i never receive any recall notice until this year my mechanic check and he said my car had recall. .i further refer to internet that some car were repaired free in changing ignition switch. in this regard i would like to know if my car is a recall in spite of same problem.with other cars thank you, jaime

This is an expensive item to fix and dispite the purchase of an extended warrenty it's not covered. shouldn't this be a safety concern and covered by the manufacturer? no safety defec tlisted within summary. *ak

Engine check light is on and won't go off, and the dealer can't determine the problem. *ak

Intermittent problems, with centeral computer contorl, battery sometimes completely drains, sometimes does not, transmission does not engage sometimes , dealer uncooperative. *ak

While approaching a stop sign and applying the brake pedal there was no response due to the floor mat getting caught up under the accelerator ,causing vehicle to almost be in an accident. dealer has not been contacted. *ak

While accelerating the mat jammed on accelerater and got stuck. consumer had to go under steering whell to release mat. consumer took vehicle to dealer, and they corrected the problem. however, problem has been reoccurring. *ak
