We have classified the 1 complaints from 1993 Honda Civic about SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC into the following categories.
When hit a pool of water (~ 1" deep), engine stalled and the power brake system died. i was unable to restart the car for ~5 mts and changing the gear f/r and steering do not have any effect. fortunately hand brake helped to slow down. it looks like i had a short circuit problem. need more explanation from the manufacturer on what could have caused it. *ak
While traveling 30 mph hit brake pedal and it went to the floorboard, brakes failed to stop vehicle, resulting in a collision. consumer contcted dealer and they said the sensor needed to be replaced. *ak
Brakes pads are freezing in the guides,allowing excessive pressure on rotors, causing the rotors to overheat ,which could result in a potential failure of brakes.
Consumer was driving approximately 55mph when she began braking to exit freeway. lost control of vehicle, spinning into a gaurdrail. the front end hit the rail and totaled vehicle. the air bag did not deploy. *ak
Water pump failed twice.
Consumer stated that while pulling into a parking space the car just accelerated fast, jumped the curb and hit a pole. consumer also stated that they tried hitting the brakes and they wouldn't work. car had to be towed to a mechanic. comsu *akmer contacted the dealer and they are aware of the incident.
The car has abs brakes. when applying the brakes the vehicle did not stop and caused an accident. the pedal went to the floor. please describe. tt
