Air bag faulty light comes on and off randomly. although there is a massive 2005 accord airbag module recall based on the nhtsa investigation 07v001000. the 2005 accord hybrid is not on the recall list. there seems to have quite a few 2005 hybrid owners had already file the similar complaint. (under the problem with the seat section) airbag malfunction is a very serious problem, however, the problem behavior is random and majority of the customer may sees it as "glitch" since it may go away by turning the key on and off again. *tr

The air bag warning indicator is illuminated spontaneously regardless if the vehicle was in motion or at start-up and whether the front passenger seat was occupied or unoccupied. the recall 07v001000 (air bags: frontal: sensor/control module) does not include my vin. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2006 honda accord. the contact stated that the safety restraint system lamp illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who confirmed that the cable to the drivers seat position center was torn due to the seat being moved back and forth. the manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance since the recall nhtsa campaign id number: 07v001000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module) and was only a part of 2004-2005 model vehicle. the vehicle was repaired. the failure and current mileage was 95,000. updated 4/11/2011 *cn updated 08/03/11
The seat position sensor (sps) wiring harness in my 2005 honda accord is broken causing the air bag warning light to be illuminated and the sps to fail. please note that this symptom is identical to that addressed by recall number: 07v001000, which applied to certain 2004 and 2005 honda accords. however, my vin number is not included in the honda recall. i believe that the omission of my 2005 honda accord's vin from recall number 07v001000 is in error and should be corrected. the honda dealer changed an initial $95.07 for diagnosing the problem, and has offered to install a new wiring harness at my expense. at this time no action has been taken. the faulty wiring harness is still installed and the air bag light is still illuminated and the sps is still in failure mode. *tr
Supplemental restraint system indicator light remains (intermittently) illuminated beyond the normal time after starting vehicle. the problem appears to be the same as described in other "complaints" published in nhtsa recall campaign id number 07v001000. according to local honda dealership, this vehicle is not part of the recall group and does not qualify for cost free remediation by honda. *tr
The airbag light illuminated on my 2005 honda accord. took to dealer who said it was the driver seat module and would cost $300. checked previous honda recalls and the same complaint was recalled for 81000 cars but mine wasn't listed (recall 07v001000 there are a few other complaints indicating the same problem and as this is an important safety issue, perhaps honda should extend its recall to include my vehicle. i asked honda customer service when my vehicle was manufactured (to determine if the date was around the period when the other cars were recalled) but they said they didn't have that info. *tr
2003 honda accord (vin [xxx] ) has an airbag warning light coming on after 30 minutes of driving. a honda dealer says the car needs new airbag control module for $525. there is a campaign # 07v001000 for 2004 & 2005 models airbags recall. this recall should include 2003 honda accord. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
1. (the events) moving the driver's seat forward for my 5' tall wife and moving the seat all the way back when i drive, i am 6' tall, the air bag warning light will come on. 2. (the failure) air bag warning light, happens all the time, from just minutes at a time to days at a time, a failure of the sps causes the air bag system to default to full inflation pressure, regardless of the seat position. 3. (corrections made) none. i noticed a recall for this car 'nhtsa campaign id number: 07v001000' and contacted honda motor co. for recall repair information, they checked my vin number and said that there were no recalls for this car. i connected my obd2 scanner to the car and there were no codes. i am not alone, checking different honda forums, there are many honda owners with this same problem. *tr
