I was driving down the highway at about 11 pm and the sunroof glass just exploded. nothing hit the car and luckily the visor was closed or i would have crashed. this is a hazard and has happened in other honda accords. the dealer offered no recourse. *tr

The 2013 honda accord lx driver's side mirror has an outer segment designed to provide a wider view of the road to correct for blind spots. however, the design is self-defeating. the outer segment shows more area, but, to accomplish this, it compacts the field of view causing a confusing distortion. additionally, the outer segment may appear out of focus to drivers wearing eye glasses. this issue was reported today by phone to honda customer service and a statement was taken by a representative. a more appropriate design for the driver''s mirror would incorporate a seamless, gradual convex curve at the left side, producing an uninterrupted panoramic effect. a driver's side mirror that causes severe distortion and confusion poses a serious safety hazard. even a momentary confusion at highway speeds may result in an accident and injury. *tr

The driver's side mirror is distorted causing the cars to appear further away than they actually are. there is a horizontal line that contributes to the distortion. i have been having a difficult time with this since i purchased the vehicle. it also makes me dizzy/have double vision as i look into the mirror after a few seconds. this distortion caused me to get into an accident where i was changing lanes thinking the vehicle in the lane left to me was further behind me. both vehicles had extensive damage and the drivers injuries. on several other occasions i have vehicles beeped at me when i am changing lanes because they are closer than they appear in my mirror. i took the car back to honda for the repairs and the employee was aware of the distortion the mirror causes. in fact, on the way to the dealership i almost had another crash, something i told the honda representative. as i think back of when i test drove the vehicle before purchase, the salesperson took me on a road where there were no other vehicles passing by us so that i could realize the distortion. i contacted honda's main customer service number and have been told that honda designed their mirror that way so that the driver has a larger view of the vehicles in their blind spot. this design is flawed and causes a dangerous distortion making the vehicles appear further away and making the driver think that they have time to change lanes.

The driver wiper does not clear the water on the way down. it pulls water back into view of the driver which makes it appear like a streak. during a moderate and heavier rain it affects visibility making it difficult to see the left side of the lane (essentially like not having a wiper on drawing the draw back to the right - it clears as the relative wind breaks up the water. this issue could cause an accident.

Auto adjusting rear view mirror has no manual override. sensor is inaccurate and during ambient bright lights in darkness or at dawn or dusk the mirror will not adjust causing significant distraction from headlights of following cars thru the rear view mirror. there is no way to adjust or override this condition. auto dimming rear view mirrors should come with a manual override function. i have to drive the vehicle in certain situations with the rear view pointed away from my eyesight in order to avoid being blinded. *tr

Affected parts: windshield and wipers. this happened during the day time, about 8:45 am: a gentle rain was encountered so i turned on the windshield wipers to slow and steady (not intermittent). the water piled up on the windshield to the left by the door post and to the right near the middle of the windshield and continued to stay there until i slowed down to turn off the road. the right side (passenger side) was clear. the water restricted my view to the left and right (from the left door post to about 10:30 clock position, and from about 1:30 to 2:30 position. dangerous in standard daylight, but this could be very dangerous at night, or with a much heavier rain. the car is new and this is my first experience with enough rain that i've had to turn the wipers on steady. *tr

drivers side mirror has a line on it making the part of the mirror wide angle losing vision of vehicles on the left side . when i tried to change lanes right lane to the middle i almost hit a vehicle . the salesman agreed that they don't care for the mirror and could cause a accident .vehicles are 2013 honda accord sport . *tr

Pick this vehicle up from the dealer got one exit down on the highway and turned around because even holding the steel will perfectly straight with both hands on the wheel the car just drifts from side to side in the lane and is extremely difficult to keep control of while at highway speeds, i brought the vehicle back to the dealer who said that they put it back on the alignment machine and that there was nothing wrong with the alignment, i also am having issues with the rear defroster not working properly. i also pointed out a visual defect in the paint on the hood of the car which the dealer said i'll will call you back in a week or two and set up an appointment and will have to have the hood repainted i have yet five months later yet to hear back from this dealer ship as to when the going to actually repaint the hood on the vehicle. *tr
