I have a 2004 honda accord coupe. 3 weeks ago my passengers side door actuator went out on it. this prevents me from locking my car any way other than manually pushing the stick lock. it will not lock by pressing the key fob or pushing the lock button inside the car. i had the passenger's side replaced. today (7/3/2010) my driver's side door actuator went out. after searching online, i see this is a very common problem with the 2003-2007 model honda accords. in order to replace one door actuator with the dealership it is over 200.00. i cannot speak for the other owners of hondas who have been having this problem, i feel it's so frequent, that honda should be assisting their customers with this issue. *tr

I bought my car new from the dealer. it is a four door, within a month of owning the car the cable to open the door from the inside broke on the rear left door. today the cable broke on the driver side door so it is impossible to open the door from the inside of the car. after looking at the cable it doesn't look strong enough to last for any length of time and being unable to get out in an emergency could be very dangerous. the car has also pulled to the right since the day i bought it but after taking to the dealer more then 4 times with no results i just learned to live with it. *tr

Dt: 2004 honda accord, all the doors remained open at 2 positions. when not in those positions they would shut. when the door was opened on the driver's side it shut and the consumers hand was caught in the door. the consumer feels the door should not have shut. *jb the consumer feel that this incident is because of a design flaw. *sb

2004 honda accord-ex (cloth); bought new at honda dealership. from the purchase date to present, problems with the following: *air conditioner/heater: water dripping from vents and window area; musty/moldy smell. *driver's seat: only one-way power is up; extremely uncomfortable. *stereo/entertainment: display goes on and off; cd's are burning hot when removed after playing for short time; whole area around system and panels are hot; sound is muffled from speakers. *front driver door: latch not functioning properly; doesn't stay open when it should and closes on person in driver seat when getting in/out car. *brakes: grinding. *trunk: after snow or rain and after brushing off snow from vehicle or after rain has stopped-- when trunk is open, water/snow gets into trunk (not designed well...needs better weather-stripping.) *jb

I have a 2004 ex v-6 accord coupe. i have had the vehicle in the shop numerous times. i had the car for 1 week it had 175 miles on it and the check engine light came on. all six pistons were misfiring. i have had the car in 3 times now for excessive noise on the drivers side window. the dealership fixed it once and told me that some noise is normal.. (my 76 honda civic doesn't even make as much noise as this car does) the check engine light comes on and blinks and goes off has done this numerous times. dealership resets it and says that it is ok. i have also had the car in 2 times because it won't start. dealership says to turn key to first click to let the fuel injection lines fill with fuel. it doesn't work. i am taking it back to the dealership once again tomorrow because the trunk doesn't latch correctly.. what a dissappointment this car has been and its not even a year old.. i will never buy another honda again. the quality has gone severely down hill.*ak
