I am the original owner of a 2000 honda accord and have had to replace the transmission for the 4th time. first time @ 60,000 miles, than 80,000 miles, than 140,000 miles. honda sucks... all they tell me now is it's out of warranty. obviously the 2000 accords have major transmission issues. *tr

I have experienced a recurring failure with the s.r.s. module in a 2000 honda accord the module was replaced a 28,000 miles and again at 75,000 miles the warning light went on again at about 82,000 miles. seems there is a manufacturing defect in this module. *tr
Honda had supposedly under a hidden warranty swapped out the automatic transmission in my car. after driving the car about the same amount of time before the transmission failed the first time, identical problem has recurred. i was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden d4 on the dash starts blinking and i could only drive to 3rd gear. when i turn the car off and restart its ok until i drive for a few minutes. randomly the car will rev but the car won't go forward until it jerks violently and catches gear. numerous occasions i was almost rear ended. i took it to the dealer but they are telling me they will not uphold the safety recall for this issue because my mileage was over. technically after the first repair in the same amount mileage the transmission failed but they told me from the purchase of the car i am over the mileage. *tr
I recently purchased a set of 2000 honda accord 1 piece projector headlights from 4caroption.com. few days after i installed the headlights i got pulled over by a police officer and was asked to put back my original headlights because i am required by law to have an amber reflector on my headlights. 4caroption.com never advised me about the headlights' design is against the law. i called 4caroption to ask for a full refund, but they told me they would only give me half of the payment back since i installed the headlights already. nm
I have a 2000 honda accord se. it was single handedly driven since the vehicle was bought brand new in march 2000. i have been maintaining it per the specifications stipulated in the owner's manual, and getting it serviced from honda service centers only. i have been a victim of un-professional experience from honda's dealerships and american honda. a few months ago the engine check light came on. since it was time to get my major service done i took it to larry hopkins honda and specifically asked to check the engine light. they didn't check anything and said that everything seemed fine. since the light was still on i had to take the vehicle back another time to get it checked by paying a diagnostic fee of a $150 which i could have saved had they checked it the first time. they diagnosed it as a stuck thermostat, code p1486, and replaced it, charging me $241 mostly labor charge. after a week the engine check light came on again, and when i called larry hopkins i was informed that ecu needed replacement, costing $960, and that they could not assure me that it would fix the problem, even after spending more than $1250. recently, i contacted american honda and they advised me to get another diagnostics done at one of their dealerships before they could help me. i got the vehicle diagnosed, and after paying $129 the same code p1486 was found and was informed that ecu was indeed a wear and tear part. however. i disagreed, and have checked with various technicians who disagreed that ecu was a wear and tear item, and have never heard of an ecus going bad after a few years of usage. *ak

The vehicle's has had multiple transmission failures. *nm the vehicles engine revved etween 4000 to 5000 rpm before the consumer noticed the vehicle was not moving forward. once the transmission slipped into gear the consumer was whip-lashed and body slammed into my seat belt. the vehicle driver seat has a sudden shift movement while the consumer drives that occurs intermittently as vehicle rounds sharp corners and turns. in sep 2003 sent a notice about a problem with the drivers seat loosening. the key gets stuck in the ignition. the side airbag light comes on when the consumer has something on the front passenger seat cushion. the consumer hears a rattle in the dash near the coin drawer. *tc

I have bought this car new in 2000 and after 3 years of driving i noticed a slipping feeling as i accelerated. i was told by a mechanic that it was my transmission and he suggested doing a full flush. i have done several flushes over the last 5 years and my problem has only gotten worse. this problem is a mechanical malfunction and i feel that honda should have done a recall years ago! *tr
Consumer raised vehicle up by using jack that came equipped with vehicle when it suddenly bent, causing vehicle to come down on consumer's shoulder and pinning him down. *ak *ml
