Why are all auto manufacturers continuing to produce vehicles in colors of silver, grey and black which all blend in with fog, asphalt, concrete and the dark of night? what a brilliant safety feature. is this so the vehicle has to be replaced often as no one can see them very well? no brainer! *tr

Dt*: the contact stated after the vehicle was parked in a parking lot for 6 hours, the back windshield shattered outwards. the contact inspected the vehicle to ensure that it was not vandalized. the glass was cracked into tiny pieces. there was nothing to indicate a foreign object as the cause of the incident. as soon as the vehicle was driven, the glass fell into the cabin of the vehicle on to the back seat. *ak

1999 honda accord: driver's window. less than 60,000 miles usually parked most of the day. driver's window would go down but not up. was told "due to use - window wire gears stripped. i have never had this occur and drove taurus to 120,000 under same conditions. i could see it if there was more than slight use of the window!!! cost $282 to replace gear. (midwest location) *jb

Dt*: the contact stated the horn worked intermittently and was hard to press in certain spots. the dealership re-fitted the horn wires and determined the horn was operating to factory specifications. the repairs did not repair the problem. the accelerator would always stick in the morning. the door locks worked intermittently. the right front window would squeak when going up. the valve cover gasket was replaced. updated 05/16/06. *jb

My crank shaft pulley bolt broke off damaging my whole engine. honda estimates it will be approx. 5900.00 to fix. this is ridiculous since my car is practically new (1999) and i get all my servicing at the dealership!

We heard a loud boom, window "exploded" and completely shattered unexpectedly. mr

Consumer states that the side view mirror on the driver side of the vehicle will start to vibrate at over 75 mph and it gets to the point where the consumer cannot see out of the mirror. contacted dealer.*jb

After getting into vehicle and closing the door rear windshield shattered for unknown reason. dealer was notified. feel free to provide any further information on this matter.*ak

While traveling in germany (us army) at safe cruising speeds averaging 100 to 115 mph (normal for germany), the black trim around the windshield came loose on the drivers side from bottom to top and was flapping in the wind. noticed the passanger side trim was also coming loose. depending upon speed, it was hitting drivers window. incident was surprising and could have shocked the driver into an accident. it appears the trim was glued and notched so it could not come loose but left enough hanging over the painted areas to be caught by the wind. appears to have failed. going to see local dealer tomorrow for repair. although my car was bought in md, aafes sells the same honda accord here to the military. had to use duct tape and reduce speed to make it home without further damage.*ak

I purchased my 1999 honda accord in july 99. i have since experienced a leaking sunroof on the driver's side which is a continuous saftey hazard. i have visited the honda dealer several times and still no solution. i have applied for the lemon law and will go into arbrition in a few days. *ak

The driver's side mirror shakes a lot when at speed (60-70mph, it makes it difficult to see other vehicles since the vibration is quite strong. dealer ignored the problem as being, "a new car". fuel gauge is quite innacurate as well.

Left turn signal intermittently fails to cancel. visual distortion in windshield

Right front side passenger window exploded while driving, causing injury to passenger when pieces of glass lodged in face, damage to vehicle following, replacement of windshield necessary. mjs
