We have classified the 6 complaints from 1995 Honda Accord about SEAT BELTS into the following categories.
Driver's seat belt mechanism failed to release latch plate after being used. had taken vehicle to dealership, and was informed by mechanic that no parts were available. parts would be ordered for repairs. *ak
Restraint belt retractor for the right rear passenger position has failed. dealership diagnosed problem over the phone, and has not examined vehicle. please provide any additional information / documentation. *ak
Buckle fails to buckle. *ak
Safety restraint system indicator light came on without prior warning. dealer notified. *ak *ml
Driver's side seat belt came loose after consumer was hit from the rear. stopped at a traffic light.
Srs light has come on and will not go off. taken to local honda dealer on this island who wants to replace the srs control unit for $545.00
I have contacted auto parts dealers to determine if the 1994 and 1995 srs control units are interchangable. they are. therefore, the recall on the 1994 accords for failure of this part should have applied to all of the 1995 accords. why has nhtsa not required honda to recall all models of the accord in these years for failure of this part?
Consumer hit vehicle in front at about 40 mph. seat belt did not work ,airbag did not deploy. dealer refuses to put new air bags and seatbelts, claims there is no problem, air bag was not suppose to deploy. all damage was done to front end. *ak
