Recently reported POWER TRAIN problems on 1994 Honda Accord

Tl*the contact owned a 1994 honda accord. the contact stated that the key should not be removed from the vehicle unless the gear shift selector was in park. on july 5, 2010, the vehicle was in drive when the key came out of the ignition causing the vehicle to roll out of the driveway into a ditch near his neighbors residence. the wheels were straddled on both sides of the ditch. no injuries were reported. the police were not notified. the vehicle was destroyed. the failure mileage was approximately 122,000. updated 09/15/10. *lj updated 09/16/10

Key was removed from ignition switch while the transmission shift lever was inadvertantly left in the " drive " position. vehicle had rolled about 20 feet in a parking lot when i returned. this is not supposed to happen if the " ignition interlock " is functioning correctly. *tr

Well i bought the car from a friend and it seemed to run fine. one day i was just driving in the city and all of a sudden the transmission started slipping. so by the time i made it home the car would no longer go into any gear except reverse. and now i am stuck without a car because i can't afford the 3000 dollars to fix it!!! *tr

Front seal is leaking oil onto tire which could cause loss of vehicle control. vehicle taken to dealer and repaired by replacing timing belts, appears to be performing properly now. *ak *ml

Abs modulator failed two times.

Speedometer was ordered by the dealer on 2 feb 2001. to date there is no expected arrival date for the part (speedometer). dealer stated that the problem with the abs is caused by a internal leak that during warm weather would cause intermittent abs failure. dealer stated that the entire abs unit would require replacement.*ak
