I have had 1 oem honda starter replaced and 2 aftermarket ones. the car intermittently starts. sometimes immediately and sometimes leaves me stranded. i took the car in a few times to the honda dealership in the past and since i couldn't replicate it they couldn't do anything and was charged the diagnostic fee $180. this car is so unreliable that i can't even have my kids drive it fearing them being stranded. i had the car towed at least 6 times. to have the car start fine the next day or even hours later. there are so many complaints with others owning the same generation honda accord on all the forums online. it is not safe at all. i have been dealing with this around 40k and now my car is 160k, since no one seems to be able to fix it.
Back up camera stopped working. upon placing car in reverse the camera screen is black the lines are still there but can not see an imagine
Contacted honda north america & leith honda of raleigh nc to fix srs supplemental restraint system on honda accord. they said i have to pay $138.00 diagnostic fee and $475.00 for a part that is in the steering wheel connected to the air bag system. vehicle was already serviced by leith honda of raleigh and the red light came back on while driving out of leith honda of raleigh parking lot. what is even worse is that the 2006 honda accord was being serviced today 02/07/2020 at the leith honda of raleigh dealership for an airbag recall. please force them to do the right thing and fix the whole system not just random parts. they know what the problem is & then tried to charge my wife another diagnostic fee to make extra money (very dishonest). when i called honda north america they just said it was between myself & leith honda of raleigh. very disappointed in both honda north america & especially leith honda of raleigh for trying to take advantage of a female. this is a ridiculous situation and a huge safety concern. i have know way to ...
This car almost killed me on highway while driving 70 miles/h it decided to tap breaks by itself(slow down) the gas pedal would not respond it was not any car in front of me.i took it to a dealer they restarted the system said everything it's fine now but did not fixed the problem the same day i had the same issue with it.i don't feel safe driving in it.
All four door locks have failed on the vehicle, needing to be replaced. the first door lock - rear passenger - failed in the first two years of owning the car. it was replaced at honda dealership under warranty. the door lock failed again about a year later. the front passenger door lock and rear driver door lock failed thereafter. all three have been replaced. now driver door lock has failed necessitating a replacement. additionally, trunk lock has failed which needed to also be replaced.
Vehicle was parked/stationary on semi-flat a school parking lot. when i looked back the vehicles moved. seems the parking gear did not fully engaged. regardless vehicle was not in neutral or drive and it still moved forward with no one on it, no keys inside and engine off. vehicle hit another parked vehicle. luckily no one got hurt. seems that the transmission/cvt system may be at fault, but unknown at this time.
This is an accord hybrid problem! in cold weather the vehicle roars so loudly you can't hold a conversation or drive safely - it sounds like a diesel truck is trying to pass you. then it suddenly stops! a few minutes later it will do it again. this happens at speeds between 25 and 55 - surface make no difference, but much greater when temperature is below 40 degrees. i put 2500 miles on my first accord (2018) before replacing it, now the new one (2019) is doing the same thing! i am not alone, the accord groups are full of people complaining of this and nothing being done for two years+. dealer has told me for the past years+ that honda is "investigating". mileage also seems to drop in 1/2 when this condition exists. letting off the gas stops the sound immediately, but then it will start up again when under load. only occurs in cold weather at speed, never when idling in cold weather. i have tried many times to record sound but nothing works. btw: it is almost impossible to get the mileage claimed on this vehicle. ...
The dashboard and rear deck are rattling. tried changing mode on dashboard but noise remains. rear deck rattling even with radio off.
As i was driving today on the highway the sunroof glass detached and flew away.
When car parks and key inside (in stationary) and when you leave the car may be around 1 minute, the door will lock itself. this would likely creates safety hazards to other vehicles if the vehicle happen to park in the middle of roadway.
