The vehicle was purchased in december used. the vehicle now has 62,000 miles. vehicle was parked overnight after working fine the day before. went to use air conditioning and it would only blow hot air. after checking online, and with experiences from other owners, the air conditioning failures appears to be a very costly common issue but there are no recalls for the defective parts. the vehicle is still in for repairs at this time. although this issue was not specifically safety related in my situation, the potential for safety concerns exist. had the ac failed while the vehicle was running with children or animals inside could be fatal.
Air conditioning - we were told by the dealership july 1st 2019, an air conditioning hose has a crack in it, and thus the refrigerant has leaked out. a new hose was ordered. it is now august 13th and we still do not have our vehicle back. the dealership has dozens of vehicles that are in need of this fix ( which, we are told is not covered under any warranty since we have 50,000 miles on it). please push gm for a recall, since the problem is a design related flaw. 2016 gmc yukon thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
Another mess with my 2016 yukon sle. the a/c condenser went out at just over 60k miles -- $1600 total in repair cost. apparently this is a known issue and gm has issued special refunds for this exact problem in prior years 2015 and before -- but has not yet done so with the 2016 year even though it is the same part and issue. i am paying to get this fixed today and counting on the special refund if not a recall.
Air conditioning blowing hot air
I have 3 year old gmc yukon xl and the condenser has gone out on it. this is about a $1,600 repair due to gmc's poor design of the location of the condenser. the labor alone is about 8 hours to replace and i find this very wrong of gmc to do to customers of such an expensive vehicle.
The antenna on the yukon gets water in it when it rains. it has messed up my gps system and my on star system is not working. it has leaked into the suv. this happens every time it rains.
The led brake light does not work. the light is an entire assembly that owners must replace by buying a new unit for $700. the unit is supposed to last for the life of the car. it's a defective piece that is difficult and expensive to replace.
Purchased vehicle used @ 32k miles. vehicle almost un-rideable due to rough ride & terrible vibration. took to gmc dealer, they replaced one front shock (completely leaked out) and one bad rim. truck still rides extremely rough & has a vibration between 35-55 mph. almost unbearable on longer rides. tires are brand new. dealer says that it is within spec. this should be illegal on a $75k msrp "luxury" suv!
Radar does not recognize smaller car on the right lane left side does not see a car when changing lane with the turn signal on. interstate. off ramp sunny day high sun 09/05/2018
My ac started blowing hot air. the air compressor was changed twice. after changing it the last time i started getting the service power steering light on and y steering wheel locks up. no power steering. this is very dangerous and seems to be come type of wiring problem.
Water leak due to bad front windshield seal, water leak through gps antenna, four wheel drive module was bad, dvd player stopped working, and lastly a horrible vibration that occurred around 77-83 mph. to the point the vehicle did not feel safe to handle. trim on the b post kept coming loose. this all occurred in over a years period of time. this was my second vehicle because i traded in my 2015 tahoe because it was having many of the same issues and more. gm did repair all issues other than the shaking, they wanted me to buy tires and after reading other complaints on the shaking i refused, the tires only had 25,800ish miles on them
Rear brake lights keep going out, parking assist sensors do not work, satellite antenna leaks water on to steering wheel when it rains
Engine stumbles and shakes feels hard and very rough extremely. starts at about 5-10 mph and shakes even when in park. and there is an oil consumption we take it to a gm dealer and they say there's something going on in the engine but they will not fix it till it breaks down completely. being the mother of 2 little kids and also being pregnant i can't have that happen and need help asap
I was traveling to phoenix, az of all places and my air went out in 110 degree heat. i've seen the other complaints so i just wanted to submit mine. this was august 26, 2017.
Pressure, sound and sensation at low to mid range speeds. creates a in cabin vibration like a single window is down causing a helicopter like sound. seems to be mostly when it drops into the 4 cylinder mode and you are accelerating. this is a major issue as noted for many people as noted on multiple internet searches. please do something!
Vehicle shakes and vibrates horribly at hwy speeds i have taken it to the dealership with no fix same problem
Vibrates when at speed 70-85.
My 2016 yukon denali has a vibration problem, which i believe is caused by the magnetic ride control. the vibration does not speed up, nor slow down, depending on speed. it is, however, more noticeable when there is any road imperfection. the gmc service dept. has balanced and rotated tires, even sent it to two other businesses to try and fix -- alignment, etc. vibration continues. i've had passengers who ask "why does your car have the shivers?" gm dealer did get ahold of a gmc technician who flew in, and drove the car and said -- yes it has a vibration, but it is in acceptable parameters. my dealer has provided me 3 different rental cars while working to try and fix the "shivers" ... all three were fairly new, small buicks, and all 3 rode better than this new $75,000 denali. i love the vehicle, hate the vibration. gmc itself has now told me -- your case is closed! the vibration is within acceptable limits. the dealer has let me drive two other yukon denali's ... both have similar vibrations... just not as bad as this vehicle. vibration is noticeable at 25 mph, as well as at 80 mph; although it is more noticeable on rougher roads. i am happy to share the reports from my local gm dealer, who completely agrees that the car shimmies. we tried the gmc buyback program, and i was told by gmc that program is not available to me, even though i took the car back to the dealer when i had less than 100 miles on it. and have been taking it back regularly since.
