Problems with 2002 GMC Yukon EQUIPMENT

Tl*the contact owns a 2002 gmc yukon. the contact stated that a month ago the vehicle was completely turned off without the key in the ignition and the air conditioner came on full blast. the failure happened again, but instead of the air conditioner it was the heat. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who stated that the failure was caused by corroded wires underneath the dashboard. the contact had the wires replaced after the first occurrence, but the failure recurred with the heat voluntarily coming on. the dealer had not inspected the vehicle. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 183000. the current mileage was 184000.

Consumer requesting reimbursement for repair of excessive corrosion of braking system, front and rear on gmc 2002 yukon. *ts ***no answer required*** the a/c compressor was noisy on startup. sop compressor had internal piston failure in compressor. . the sunroof would not close all the way. the dealer had to install a new sunroof frame. *nm

Knocking noice is heard coming from the front of the vehicle and is felt as a "clunk" through the steering wheel. this is the 2nd time in 6 months that this has occurred. the first time was when the vehicle had 30000 miles on it and it was taken to the dealer and fixed under factory warranty. the vehicle now has 45000 miles on it and the problem is happening again.*ak

Rear side mirror on both driver and passenger side have hairline cracks. they were replaced and now they are back. the hairline crack in the mirror distorts views and is a safety concern. i believe the mirrors are too thin to handle the defrost options on the mirrors. they seen to fail on their own. *nm
