Problems with 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

Tl* the contact owns a 2001 gmc sierra 2500. the contact stated while driving 50 mph the vehicle stalled without any warnings. the contact mentioned that he was able to turn the vehicle back on but the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. the mechanic also advised that the fuel lines needed to be cleaned. the remedy failed to repair the problem. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in nhtsa recall campaign id number: 07v521000 (engine and engine cooling). the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 79,500 and the current mileage was 80,000.

I have owned my 2001 gmc sierra 2500hd truck since it was new. the vehicle currently has approximately 92,000 miles on it. during the time i have owned it, it has had a problem with the exhaust manifolds coming loose, due to loosing studs, broken studs or the studs just falling out. the two dealerships have repaired this problem four or five times while under warranty and the problem has occurred again. i have never seen this kind of problem on any other vehicle that i have owned and i have owned many vehicles. the danger that this problem creates is the possibility of fire and carbon monoxide in the cab of the truck. gm/the dealerships refuse to address this issue, so i am forced to turn it over to you. *tr

When starting up vehicle consumer can here knocking noises coming from motor. also rattling noise coming from under vehicle. dealer notified. *ak the engine knocks when starting cold. rear passenger side door makes noise. the steering column shows rubbing sound. the driver side speaker fell off. right front window makes grinding noise when goes up or down. passenger side power window regulator failed. fuel door bumper failed. left front door lock switch came off. *yh
