Daytime running light reflector melted on right and left side.
With my vehicle stationary and shifter in the park position, i turn my car off and the vehicle turns off but the instrument cluster says "action required - shift to park". this message also does not allow the day time running lights to turn off and if the lights don't turn off the battery drains if parked for long stretches. i have to turn the car on/off several times before it engages and the message disappears.
My headlights stopped working while i was driving on a highway. i pulled off the road & the drl led lights around the headlights were still on, but the headlights were not. i tried turning the lights off/on, tried turning the vehicle off/on. my husband checked the fuses, relay, & sensors, as well as changed both bulbs and they still will not work. it was dark while i was driving, which posed a dangerous situation. upon researching online, there seems to be other people who have had the same problem.
The headlights are not bright enough to safely drive the vehicle at night on low beam, and the high beam makes very little difference. it is worse when the roads are wet. when you put the high beams on, the lights do not seem to get any brighter. i have taken it to a gmc dealer twice and was told the headlights are working the way they are supposed to work. if that is the case, it is a poor design and needs to be corrected. this has been an ongoing problem since we purchased the vehicle new,
Exterior headlights are ineffective and unsafe while driving at night. poor lighting on my vehicle has caused near accidents on the freeway with deer and stalled vehicles on the on the road.
The gears sometimes does a hard push when changing gears automatically. the dashboard light keeps turning off and driver can not see the speedomotor etc.
I noticed both of my driving lights had gone out and went to replace. they are the hid headlight assemblies and the driving light sockets and bulbs melted together resulting in cracking that reflector/projection in the assembly.my vin is not the "vin specific" included in the special recall 14283, but i have that exact issue.
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 gmc acadia. while driving at night, the contact stated that the headlights were barely visible because they were blacked out. the vehicle was taken to ken nelson auto group (1100 n galena ave, dixon, il 61021, (815) 288-4455) where it was determined that the headlights would not project too far. the contact attempted to call the manufacturer, but the call dropped. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was unknown.
The headlights on this vehicle are horrible , it is a safety hazzard . when driving the headlights only light up the road about 6 ft in feont of you on low beam and there is a distinct line where they stop shining upwards which is only about 4 ft up into the sky . this does not give you enough time to see anything in front of you let alone pwople walking on the sidewalks . i am very dissapointes that this vehicle is 6 years old and this hasnt been taken care of yet . maybe you should try and drive rhis vehicle and then recall it because you cant see anything on low beam. i was driving on the street after getting this and driving ar night is a safety hazzard that needs to be reconciked for all of us before something happens to someone .
Vehicle headlights abruptly stopped working. headlights are in auto running lights position, but will not turn on. no headlights available, only option to use is fog lights. this occurred after 9 pm on a highway, creating a serious safety hazard. vehicle brought to 3 different mechanics shops and no problems with headlights were detected, no problems with fuses, computer or battery detected, no lamps needed replacement. two months later no solution found. the vehicle is not operational during poor weather or after dark.
