While stopped at red light, our ford windstar was rear-ended by a ford focus estimated to be going 50-60mph. both of us in the front seats suffered severe calf muscle injuries. we believe these were caused by the manual seat adjustment bar that runs the full width of the seat. we were both wearing seatbelts. an additional note: the driver's seatback broke on impact.*ak is there any history of leg trauma caused by seat hardware in rear-end collisions?

A sharp piece of metal was protruding from the driver seat back (left side at hip level). *nlm *scc

Both passenger and driver seat backs failed in a rear end collision. *ak

The vehicle was rear ended and driver's seat failed. it fell completely back on the middle row seat. usually my youngest child (baby at the time) would have been (in her child seat) in the middle row and i'm sure she would have been killed if she had been in the van that day. *jb

Power sliding door would intermittently open while driving, or will not open when needed; vehicle been in the dealer shop on six occasions, and problem still occurring.. *ak consumer also states back seat collasped backwards, also battery dead from shorts in the wiring, light in the inside is on when it should be off , and also doors that may or maynot operate while vehicle is in motion, also getting false signals on instrument panel.*jb

18 visits to service dept since we bought van; 6 in the last 5 weeks for power sliding doors not shutting.*ak

Seatback spring is too strong. the seatback swings forward when handle is pulled. dealer aware of problem. cannot remedy the problem., and problem still exists.also, horn in center of steering wheel, censor in horn is too small, causing difficulty in use of horn. proviide further information. *ak

Drivers side under seat airbag impact sensor was not mounted firmly to floor. it was just dangling from the wiring harness, effectively disabling the airbags. dealer looked at seat pedestal and determined that the wrong seat mount was installed at the factory. dealer is installing the correct seat mount. i am not convinced that the passenger side airbag wiring has been done correctly either. *ak
