Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford ranger. the contact stated received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v001000(air bags). the vehicle was taken to new brighton ford 1100 silver lake rd nw, new brighton, mn 55112 to have the recall serviced. the contact stated that after the vehicle was returned, the tabs used to secure the passenger air bag panel were not sealed. the contact brought the vehicle back to the dealer where a mechanic was sent to provide the repair however, no repair was performed. the dealer notified that manufacturer who stated that they would place an order for a new part to fix the issue which was still pending. the contact had yet to hear back from the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 61,400.

Takata recall: i have been trying to get my passenger airbag replaced since the recall came out in february and i have been blown off 3 times by the dealership. the first time i called i was told by a service dept. rep that they had to order the parts in march and to call back in 5 weeks if they did not call me. at the beginning of may i called and i was told they had no record of me calling and talking to anyone at the dealership. they once again took my information and i talk with a marissa. again i was asked to check back in a month if i was not contacted. last week i contacted the dealership again and once again i was told that nobody had ordered the parts. this time someone named carla took my information and set up an appointment to come into surprise ford dealership at 7am to get my truck fixed only to find out from them that i was not in the system and no parts were ordered. they told me that they have a service center in florida answer the phones when they are busy and they never set up anything. now almost 6 months after the recall i have yet to get any action done on my truck not from my part. this is really a messed up system and a waste of my time for nothing. something should be brought and done to this dealership and others if they operate this way. it comes across as though they don't care about the recall until it is too late.

When scheduling a recall for the airbag i was told my local dealer would not have the part for 3 to 4 weeks and was told to try another dealer 15 miles away. ford put me on a list at the local dealer. the recall(19s01 /nhtsa recall 19v-001) that i received states both the driver and passenger will be replaced, they are only replacing the passenger airbag and that a loaner vehicle can be provided for free. the recall also states do not drive your vehicle until the recall repair has been completed. ford was not willing to issue a loaner vehicle until my local dealer was able to obtain the required parts and wanted me to schedule at a dealer 15 miles away.

I have contacted my dealer ( twin pines ford) 3 times 3-4-2019 to 4-11-2019 and yet have to receve a call back. even just to say no parts or yes we have the part. it is an air bag a safty item under recall19v-001

Takata recall. after receiving a recall notice i promptly went to my local ford dealer (andy shaw ford in sylva, nc) in february 2019. after more than a month they told me to come in and they would take care of it. i continue to receive recall notices, almost three months after they said it was repaired (3/28/19). how do i go about determining whether the airbag was actually replaced or not?

Ford has told me that i can only get the recall work performed at a ford dealer. i live in juneau, alaska. we have no ford dealer and there are no roads to juneau. affordable auto repair in juneau (907-790-9332 rusty, srvc mgr) has already done some of the airbag recall work (notice #19s01), but ford has now put a halt to this work by affordable auto repair and will not provide dealer support to order the parts and reimburse affordable auto for the work. there are many ford owners in juneau and we are being put in danger, because ford will not allow this recall work to be performed at anywhere other than a ford dealer, even thought we have no ford dealer in juneau and no roads to drive hundreds of miles and days away to the "closest" ford dealer. ford's solution in unrealistic and unfair for alaska ford owners. ford is putting alaska residents in danger. we need immediate resolution to this issue. the ford helpline and online chat has not been helpful in bringing this to a resolution..

Called dealer (sunshine ford-newburg,ny) and got an appointment for 3/19/2019, but they cancelled because the bag didn't arrive. i was told i would be notified when they received one. i got a second notice in april and called sunshine back. they again said they would call when the bag arrived. i got a postcard from ford, so i called and explained my situation. i was put on hold while they tried to call the dealer. they tried two times when i was holding but no one answered. i was told they would call me when they spoke with sunshine, that was 5/21, i still haven't heard. now i received a notice from ny state dept. of motor vehicles telling me it is urgent. what more can i do?

Takata recall airbag inflators released. a few small fragments struck my left hand and the side of my neck. i was going maybe 5 mph in my driveway.

We received a second letter stating the part was ready and to call the dealership. we did so, and evidently we are now on a list there! this is rediculous. i can't ride in his vehicle. how much longer do we have to wait??????

The advanced trac light stayed on all the time. took to ford dealer and costed 100.00 to check light, they said was restraint control module, it affected brakes, advanced trac, air bags and anti-tip over device. the vehicle only had 3500 miles on it. the part is rediculously priced!! 650.00 is outrageous!!!

I was first notified in january. have received 2 letters from ford, stating parts were available. it is now june and still np parts. i am number 13 on list at garber ford, gcs for repair. i cannot drive vehicle or if i do, i am at risk. what is problem with ford or supplier? truck is now useless to me.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 ford ranger. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the dealer (sunrise ford of fontana, 16005 valley blvd, fontana, ca 92335, (833) 660-7724) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall i have received a letter for repair from ford. the letter specifies to call ford motor company to set an appointment to replace the passenger side air bag, but when i called them they told me to call don davis ford in arlington tx to obtain an appointment for the replacing of the passenger air bag, so i call them and they said they did not have parts yet for the repair, so i called ford motor company and they said they will set an appointment as soon as they get the parts available and until this day i haven't received a call from them again. right now the heat in the area where i live is bad and i am scare that the passenger air bag might explode. for your information the letter i have received has a posted date of april 2018. thanks and please let me know.

Takata recall 04-26-2018 second complaint same vehicle. safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384 ford has still yet to rectify the passenger airbag inflator in my truck and its been on recall since june 2016. this is very unacceptable..

Taka recall early this month (april) i received a letter from ford telling me parts were now available to replace the passenger side airbag in my 2011 ford ranger under nhtsa recall 16v-384, safety recall notice 16s26. today i called the service departments of four dealers in my area--two answered the phone and each said they have not yet received the parts.

Takata recall i received a letter from ford dated april 2018 stating that the passenger airbag inflator was now available. i called mullinax ford in kissimmee, florida and was told that ford has not sent the inflators to them yet. i have been waiting for over a year to have this fixed.

Airbag recall - notice 16s26 recall 16v-384 received notice about recall dated april 2018. called local ford company - crossroads in kernersville, nc and was told they did not have the part...they suggested that i go to another dealership. i then called ford company who contacted this dealership and was connected back to the manager (bill) who told me that the part would be ordered and he would contact me once it was in. this was on 4/16/2018....today it has been a month and i have not heard anything from anyone about this. the letter indicated that the parts were available and this recall would be replaced free of charge (parts and labor).... there seems to be some sort of delay. so i am now reporting this *issue* to you....i would indeed appreciate a prompt response and would like this done before something happens.

Ford sent a letter (april 2018 - just over a week ago) indicating the airbag issue: nhtsa 16v-384 could now be repaired by their dealership (kings colonial ford - brunswick, ga). when i called to make an appointment, the service department indicated that they do not have the parts to do the repairs and they have no idea when they will have the parts. it is now 2 years down the road since the air bag issue surfaced and there is still no hope of repair. folks: this is bordering on absurdity !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tl* the contact owned a 2011 ford ranger. while driving approximately 25 mph, the contact crashed into another vehicle. the air bags failed to deploy. there were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure. there were no injuries and a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was deemed totaled. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. a dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the contact was not aware of any recalls on the vehicle at the time of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 100,606. the vin was not provided.

Takata inflators - parts have not been available since 2016. ford dealer says you need to trade it in.

I was told over 2 years ago that my takata air bag (passenger side) would be replaced by my nearest ford dealer at no charge to me. to this date they claim that they are unable to get the replacement parts after several attempts to contact them. i have a disabled husband that needs to ride in the passenger side of my 2011 ford ranger due to that is the only vehicle we own. he needs to attend doctors appointments and i am his only form of transportation to get to them.

Takata recall air bag indicator light is illuminated recall incomplete or no remedy had been found

Takata recall: i received notice of the recall and took action. however, the service department at bill pierre's ford stated that replacement parts have not been made available by the manufacturer. they did not know when the parts would be available. i am submitting this complaint as proof that i've followed up and taken reasonable action to fix the faulty and dangerous airbags in my 2011 ford ranger. i'm attaching a picture of the title to show the specific vehicle.

Takata recall i have a ford ranger 2 seater, the passenger airbag is defective. i was notified in december 2017 in a letter from ford motor company that in part stated do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat.i have not allowed anyone to sit in passenger seat since i received this letter though i have been asked to give ride. i have family members having health and personal issues who could call me at anytime needing transportation to a health facility. is there anything you are able to help me resolve this issue? i look forward to hearing from you.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 ford ranger. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags). the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair as the recall notice was received over a year ago. the dealer (pioneer ford, 150 us-27, bremen, ga 30110, (770) 537-3673) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. the manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. the contact received a postcard from tk holdings, alerting him that they filed for bankruptcy. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata airbags i received a letter today (12/22/2017) from ford informing me to not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat. this is a 2 seat pickup truck which means i can not use this vehicle with anyone but myself. how am i supposed to use this to transport family members ? this recall was issued on june of 2016 which is 18 months ago. why is ford being allowed to put off fixing a safety defect for 18 months and is now telling owners they can't have anyone else in the vehicle but the driver. this is my second email regarding this recall the first was submitted in may of 2017, i heard nothing back from the ntsb regarding my first complaint. this latest update from ford is an outrage which basically leaves me with a vehicle that i cannot use to transport family members. with no remedy from ford see the 'warning' section from the letter in the image attached

Takata recall = was informed to have passenger airbag replaced at dealership free of charge. when contacting dealership, they continue to tell me that replacement parts have not been made available and to call tk holdings. tk holdings toll free number only gives instructions on how to file an electronic claim as a result of death or injury. also contacted nhtsa toll free line and they too only provide info on filing a claim before deadline date of dec 27. no is able to repair my vehicle, nor tell any kind of timeframe as to when parts will be available for repair. this is quite stressful knowing any passengers in my vehicle is at risk, yet no one seems to be making any kind of attempt to assist me!

Takata recall why is ford taking so long to remedy this safety issue?! i received the initial notice last year in 2016, and i just received a notice that takata has filed for bankruptcy in japan. i have contacted two dealers in my area, and both are waiting on ford.

Tanaka airbag recall did not supply remedy

Takata recall. notified a year ago and air bag replacements are not available. checked with dealer often and parts are still not available.

Takata recall i have been twice to a ford dealer and called two ford dealers concerning my passenger airbag problem. they say that they do not have the part. i have sent a letter to the ford company. i did not hear back from them. my wife will not ride with me as a passenger. what can i do. i did not have an accident.

Takata recall: i took my 2011 ford ranger to kirk brothers ford in greenwood, ms to arrange to have the air bag (s) repaired. i was told the recall was for the passenger side air bag and that the parts are not available. the could not give me an estimate of when the parts will be available. this information did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. do you have a suggestion for how i can get this matter resolved? thank you.

Called my dealership to have this recall taken care of but they are acting like it is no big deal. they are saying they don't have the parts, can't tell me when they will be in, saying i will be notified when the parts are in. they are offering no assistance whatsoever. i want to find out if i am in danger and they won't tell me that. this is hollingsworth ford in baton rouge la

Takata recall. i have made frequent calls to a certified dealership; wayne akers ford, in reference to this matter since july 2016. my most recent contact was 10/30/2017. they do not have the replacement parts for this recall per the service manager ben.

Takata recall we first received notice of the recall on the passenger side air bag in july of 2016. our ford dealer still has no parts to replace the air bag. this is a major safety issue and it is inexcusable that no parts are available a year and half later.

Takata recall. i have called the local ford dealer twice, and they say the parts are not available, and when ford gets the parts they will notify me.

It has been approximately 14 months since i first received the recall notice regarding my 2011 ford ranger regarding the danger associated with the takata air bags. since that time i have called spikes ford on three separate occasions and ford motor company on one occasion and have still not received any definite date for correcting the issue with the air bags on my vehicle. i am very concerned regarding my safety and it seems that ford is not attempting to help in any manner. they consistently say that supplies are not available and that i must wait and check back. it would seem that after a year some effort would be made to help customers that have been loyal to the ford company. i am very dissatisfied with the overall response to this issue plus the attitude of the administration with ford company.

Takata recall oc welch ford hardeeville sc does not have parts to fix this and does not know when they will i have called several times and no parts to fix this problem which could be more than harmful!

Takata recall - ford dealership has stated that they do not have any parts available, nor have they ever nor do they know when, for the repair of the air bag in the recall. i would like to know when i can reasonably expect a resolution to the problem as i have now received notice that takata dba tk holdings inc. has filed for chap. 11.

Received notice of faulty air bags, but the dealership has not received the parts, etc to replace. verified faulty air bags via the website provided on chapter 11 notification.
