I received a letter from ford regarding a safety recall almost 1 year ago. letter dated july 2016. i've gone to my local ford dealer and they keep telling me they have not received recall part (passenger airbag).

Takata recall. in july 2016, i received safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384. several times i have called the local ford service dept. and been told that parts are not available. it has been over 6 months since i received the recall notice. it is either a safety issue or not, safety is being compromized.

Takata recall - i received a recall notice from ford in july 2016 stating that the passenger airbag inflator is defective and needs to be replaced. it is now august 2017 and the repair has still not been done. i contacted ford at 800-392-3673 (as advised by your representative dawn at 888-327-4236) and was told that my vehicle is included in "zone a" but that the parts are not yet available and there is no availability date. this is taking too long, and i am beginning to wonder if it will ever happen at all.

Takata recall: safety recall notice dtd july 2016 16v-384 passenger frontal airbag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. a ruptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. efforts to get ford to fix have all failed.

Takata recall i have been waiting over 11 months since being informed that my vehicle has a defective airbag via a mailed notice from ford. the recall still indicates "remedy not available". how long am i supposed to wait to have what is being described as a fragmentation grenade in my dashboard replaced ? i don't believe ford is doing due diligence on this i've been worried about this issue for over 11 months, which i think is long enough. is there anything i can do ?

Takata recall ford motor company, along with the nhtsa, knows this vehicle can be a death trap. ford motor company chooses to disregard the occupants safety, by dragging there feet. i submit this vehicle should be replaced, and taken off the road now, not wait until parts can be manufactured, sometime down the road as they state. should i allow my family or myself to be exposed to serious injury or death by ford motor co and the nhsta? i submit these vehicles should be taken off the road! and replaced immediately. how many serious injuries and or deaths does it take? is there a number?
