At acceleration the car won't shift when needed then it'll automatically down shift and stop accelerating. the rpm gage needle bounces up & down with & with acceleration imaged speed still decreases then something catches and it'll start accelerating & rpm going to high then starts all over before finally working right.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford mustang. while starting the vehicle there was an abnormal ticking noise detected from the engine area. there were no warning lights illuminated. the contact called metro ford 9000 nw (7th ave, miami, fl 33150, (305) 751-9711) however the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. the manufacturer was notified and the contact was informed that vehicle was not covered under warranty. no further assistance was provided. the failure mileage was 92,800.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford mustang. while driving 75 mph, the contact noticed an abnormal burning odor without warning. in addition, the vehicle temperature gauge went to hot and caused the overheating warning indicator to illuminate. the contact pulled over, shifted into park, added coolant, and the vehicle returned to normal. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine block was leaking and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired; however, the failure recurred. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to call nhtsa to file a complaint. the failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
2019 ford mustang gt 5.0l with 10 speed automatic transmission milage: 14,000 -engine stalls when car comes to a stop (happened more than 10 times). -harsh transmission shifting from 4th to 5th. -dipping and irritating rpm when idle. -exhaust sound valve squeaking noise (like the sound when the metal has corrosion squeaking sound) while the valve changes from quite to normal or from normal to track. -wheel wining noise shows on or above 40mph (like wheel hub bearing humming sound). -dash and rear driver side rattling noises. -front end bushings squeaking noises (especially can be heard while passing on car parking bumps).
Riding under normal driving conditions, car stalls from a v8 to a v2. no power at all, if you want to switch from normal, to any selectable driving modes from toggle switch or steering wheel, wont change. turn of car, turn it back on and continued with same problem.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford mustang. the contact stated driving at 30 mph, several warning lights illuminated. the contact veered to the shoulder of the road as the vehicle stalled. there was an abnormal odor coming from the engine. the contact unaware if there was any leaks. the contact turn the vehicle off and back on which resumed normal vehicle operation. the vehicle was taken to monro auto service and tire center 1769 kuser rd, hamilton township, nj 08690, (609) 308-3139 where it was diagnosed that the water pump, drive belt failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 16v779000 (engine and engine cooling) as a possible solution to the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the contact was referred to the nhtsa hotline to file a complaint. the failure mileage was approximately 78,971.
I was driving my vehicle on the highway (i-4) on my way to work on 10/24/2019, i was going about 65 mph and suddenly the vehicle decreased speed to about 35 -40 mph, on the instrument panel the wrench light or symbol came on, i was almost rear ended and hit by 2 vehicles traveling at normal speed. as i pressed on the gas pedal the car would not pick up speed, i believe this is called "limp mode'. i was luckily able to avoid the accident by pulling off to the side of the highway. i shut the vehicle off, since i was not sure if it could also be a fire hazard. waited a few minutes and looked up the issue on the internet. i turned the vehicle back on and it was as if nothing had ever happened. i was able to get back on the road and i thought maybe it was just a malfunction. i was very scared but drove into work with no idling issues. saturday 10/26/2019 i was on my way to the grocery store and it happened again, near my house on a residential road. i was going about 35-40 and ...
Tick in engine at idle due to manufacturing defect effects behavior of driver and strangers toward operator hearing, resale value greatly effected. poor lubrication to #1 valve train. tsb 12-1-17 describes a fix that causes greater harm by starving exhaust cam journals of oil by using oil plugs to block oil flow thru hydraulic cam to the exhaust cam valve journals on cylinder 3 and 4. efforts to secure remedy or reasonable information to effect repairs from ford result in misleading directives, over charges and denied access to upper management to secure reasonable discussion and or meaningful remedy. noise is always present at idle after warmed up. loud offensive irritating. contacted several ford dealers and ford customer service. ford refuses to give access to upper management for resolution.
I have the exact problem as nhtsa case number 11187080. i bought it new. now has about 11000. have taken it to two different ford dealers and both have said that they cannot find anything wrong and it operates as it should. i plan to taken it back in again and show them the other nhtsa complaints.
