At acceleration the car won't shift when needed then it'll automatically down shift and stop accelerating. the rpm gage needle bounces up & down with & with acceleration imaged speed still decreases then something catches and it'll start accelerating & rpm going to high then starts all over before finally working right.
Intermittently, the clutch pedal will be stuck to the floor after pressing it to switch gears. it happened to me when i was going from neutral to 1st gear and from 1st gear to second gear which is a huge safety concern as the car stalled and i almost hit someone and someone almost hit me. it has only happened to me 2 times in the last month because i found the source of the problem. the clutch return line is at fault because it seems to be very short. because of it being short, it has a lot of tension on it. because of the car having a flat plane crank, i believe the excessive vibrations that the engine creates might make this line back off over time. my car only had 5,000 miles when this happened and it was very frightening. the line is an interference fit on the fluid reservoir and its cause the line to slowly leak every time you touch the line because the seal isn't good enough. to temperately remedy this issue, i have just been pushing the line back on. this isn't a good fix and ford needs to recall these cars because ...
2019 ford mustang gt 5.0l with 10 speed automatic transmission milage: 14,000 -engine stalls when car comes to a stop (happened more than 10 times). -harsh transmission shifting from 4th to 5th. -dipping and irritating rpm when idle. -exhaust sound valve squeaking noise (like the sound when the metal has corrosion squeaking sound) while the valve changes from quite to normal or from normal to track. -wheel wining noise shows on or above 40mph (like wheel hub bearing humming sound). -dash and rear driver side rattling noises. -front end bushings squeaking noises (especially can be heard while passing on car parking bumps).
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford mustang. while driving, the vehicle failed to shift into first gear. there were no warning indicators illuminated. when the vehicle was restarted, it drove normally. in addition, when the vehicle was in reverse, the transmission became difficult to shift. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the vehicle. the failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
The transmission gets stuck in gear when you accelerate hard, you can't take the car out of gear and the clutch does not work. the engine continually revs/speeds up when no one is touching the accelerator. this is very dangerous and needs to be addressed right away. this was driving in sport mode, this has no happened in normal mode.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford mustang. while driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle downshifted to approximately 5 mph. in addition, the wrench icon illuminated. the vehicle was taken to koons ford (3111 automobile blvd, silver spring, md 20904) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be rebuilt or replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 44,000. the vin was unavailable.
While driving on the interstate, i changed gears (manual transmission) and the clutch failed to engage properly and engine rpm spiked dramatically. when the clutch finally engaged i pulled over to the right lane. the car will not maintain speed, and engine rpms spike continually regardless of gear/speed. the car is very unsafe to drive and the situation nearly caused an accident on the interstate. ford has acknowledge the issue with the factory-installed clutch on the 2007-2009 shelby gt500s, but has refused to issue a recall and passes on the repair cost to consumers.
In my ford mustang and many other ford mustang thta iv come across from the 2005-2007 era the automatic transmission always seems to have a slipping problem. when u stop and try to change gears the car stutters and even take up to 4 sec to change gear even when the driver only uses the car as an everyday comute. no racing, drifting or heave presseure put on the transmission yet they still go bad and start to slip consistantly even when the car doesnt have alot of miles on it. most of the time less than 60,000.
In a nut shell, look up ford tsbs: 13-4-9 and 13-6-8. 2013 mustang, 65,700 miles, with 6-speed auto (6r80) transmission will suddenly get stuck in 5th gear when starting or when cruising at highway speeds. very dangerous when pulling out into traffic or an on-ramp and suddenly stuck in 5th gear with no ability to accelerate. not to mention potential road range from drivers behind a car that can't move when the traffic light turns green. the orange wrench, airbag, low fuel indicators illuminated, the speedometer needle drops to zero, odometer, trip meter, "miles until empty" meter all display dashes while driving. symptoms will clear after an ignition key cycle, but return. trouble codes (dtcs) p0720 is sometimes stored in the powertrain control module. i'm currently stuck with a >$900 repair bill to replace the lead frame attached to the valve body in the transmission. please increase scope of existing recall for other years/models with the same 6r80 transmission problem. ford csp 16n02 has already extended coverage for 10 years, 150,000 miles on other vehicles with this same tranny, so it's incomprehensible the 2013 mustang isn't covered as well.
I have the exact problem as nhtsa case number 11187080. i bought it new. now has about 11000. have taken it to two different ford dealers and both have said that they cannot find anything wrong and it operates as it should. i plan to taken it back in again and show them the other nhtsa complaints.
