While driving down the interstate in beaumont texas at 70 mph the passenger side door just came unlatched. then within 3 mins thre driver side door did the same thing! we opened the rest of the way n reclosed. but that's scary at 70mph!

Vehicle was on the highway going 70+ mph, passenger door suddenly came loose and started getting passenger door ajar lights and you could hear wind passing into the car. thankfully the passenger was holding the door at the time so it did not fully open. vehicle has been repaired.*dt*jb

While at highway speed, my passenger door unlatches and i receive a "door open" warning on the dash. this has occurred multiple times including several instances where a passenger was seated next to the open door and i feel it is extremely unsafe. i took it to the ford dealership and they told me they couldn't replicate the issue so there was nothing they would do. i reported it to ford corporate and they advised me to file a complaint with the nhtsa. this has occurred on more than a dozen instances with my vehicle.

I purchased my dream car from autonation of fremont/ honda. i drove 90 minutes from my house purchase the shelby. upon arrival, i met with [xxx], supervisor in sales. before signing documents, the purchase price of the car was advertised at 45,900. [xxx] indicated the price was advertised wrong and was at 47,500. [xxx] stated to make up the price difference, he was going to tint the windows and add paint protection. last month i attempted to make a claim last month for the swirl marks and fading on bumpers and brembo brakes. well, autonation indicated i did not have the paint protection warranty. i have attempted to contact mo, and [xxx], general sales manager of autonation, no response. there are other complaints, but this is what put it over the top. during signing of the contract, they up sold me 6000 dollars of varies warranties. by the time i came home to read the documents, i canceled all the warranties. it took autonation 2 months to fix the documents and autonation stated we could not remove windshield insurance. i still paid 700 just to get the documents in order. not only that, [xxx] stated my brembo brakes squeak because they are "high performance", he didn't fix the squeak even when i brought the car back when it was tinted. by far, this is the worst car experience i ever had. i called autonation cooperate and they never returned my call. thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford mustang. while operating the vehicle in warmer temperatures, the passenger side door randomly unlocked. during the failure, the "door ajar" warning message displayed. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer and planet ford spring (20403 interstate 45, spring, tx) were notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 50,000.

Door latch allows door to open when driving. pawl spring tab in door may be broken and was part of the ford 2015 recall to fix. my car is a 2016 but made with 2015 parts.my dealer won't fix the problem. recall # 16s30

On friday, july 19, 2019, my son was driving on i-75 in florida, going from univ of tampa to fernandina beach. while driving on the highway (approx 70 mph), the driver's side door unlatched - this happened to him twice on the trip. he pulled over & had to close the door. he mentioned that this had happened to him once before a few weeks ago. there is a ford recall for this problem for 2015 mustangs but no recall for 2016.*dt vehicle has been repaired 7/23/19. *jb

Passenger door comes open by itself while driving. it happens at various speeds and various roads. luckily, so far it has only happened on straight roads. there are several recalls on comparable year vehicles of this same model for a door latch replacement. the vehicles i have checked all have interchangeble parts, meaning when i order parts, it is for a range of years. this is partially why i don't understand fords reluctance to include the 2016 in the repairs.

During first long road trip with newly acquired car, both the driver door and the passenger door opened from locked position at highway speed a total of six times. the passenger door opened four times and the driver door two times. these occurrences were on 1/13/2018 and 1/14/2018 during an 1,100 mile trip from florida to new york. with each episode the dashboard lit with "door ajar" message.

This car was never wrecked and had approximately 7,000 miles on it while driving 70 mph on the highway, the passenger door dislodged and came halfway open. within 5 miles, the drivers door did the same exact thing.

The rear deck "gt" emblem broke on my new car and fell off. i returned it to the dealership to have it replaced because it is a new vehicle and still under warranty. the emblem was replaced as well as the back deck lid and the reverse camera because it is all one piece. as i left i noticed that the new deck lid did not seal properly and water could get in my trunk so i returned to the service shop. at that time i was told by an associate that an update was made to the service manual and a new "bumper pad" was required to be added under the deck lid that was preventing it from closing properly. i told them it was unacceptable and it needed to be fixed. they continued to explain it was a factory change and was corrected exactly how it was supposed to be according to the new manual updates. the larger problem is that i explained to them that i am active duty military and was picking the car up to drive straight to my new base. they stated it was not an issue and i could have my local dealer look at the item and fix it under warranty. well, i am now at my new location and the local dealer stated there is not any updates to the manual for them to add an extra buffer pad and they the deck lid they added is warped from them trying to force it on. however, the local dealer cannot touch it because it was repaired under warranty at the other location and they are responsible. now they want me to drive it back 490 miles one way to have them fix it when they first lied to me about what was done and then also told me i could bring it to a local shop because the military moved me and the warranty would still cover it. they need to pay what ever they need to the local dealer so i can have my new car repaired since they messed it up and then lied to me. mall of georgia ford is where i purchased it and the same service department that lied to me.
