Takata recall i was in an accident in may on a city street in motion, my airbag deployed. the air bag deployed on impact but i was only going 18 miles per hour.my car has been in the shop since the wreck waiting on an airbag park. its completely unfair that the car not be totaled and it has been sitting in a lot for 6 months. ford has been zero help, all i hear is the air bag is delayed and we don't have a date.
Takata recall - no parts are available over a year after it was identified as an issue that can cause death! why aren't these being disabled or loaner cars being issued. how can someone drive this car knowing the part could fail and kill the driver or passenger? is it safer to drive without the airbag than with the defective one? no one at ford would answer that question for me.
Takata recall i was originally notified of the recall by letter from ford customer service division in july of 2015. in may of 2016 i received another letter from them informing me that the required airbag modules would be available in the 4th quarter of 2016. since then i have inquired at the dealership, 5 star ford in north richland hills, tx, on multiple occasions and was told each time that they had not received the required parts and knew nothing further regarding the matter. since i reside in a hot and humid area which is said to be the worst environment for potential airbag module failures, it would seem logical that my area should be accorded a high priority for these replacement parts. further, our area's traffic ranks it among the top 20 in the nation for congestion, making collisions more likely than in less congested areas. any reasonable person would conclude that those factors should place our area near the top in priority for receiving the needed parts. since my vehicle has not yet been repaired, apparently those parts went elsewhere.i am upset that ford has not met the timetable that they gave me in their letter of may 2016. beyond that, the absolute lack of any meaningful further communication form ford or the dealership is a serious concern. if the parts are available, why has my vehicle not been repaired? why is it that neither ford nor the dealership will provide any additional information regarding this serious safety risk? as a driver whose vehicle constitutes a risk to my safety every time i drive it, i am worried. ford should have honored their written commitment to repair my vehicle in the 4th quarter of 2016, or failing that, at least have let me know when i can expect to have my vehice made safe to drive.

Takata recall excessive wait time for a replacement of deadly safety issue. live in florida and can not take the risk of letting my daughter drive a car that could kill her. so it sits in the drive way and depreciates. i wish ford treated their customers like acura does.

Takata recall i received notice of a recall regarding dangerous takata airbags july 2015. i called ford dealerships at least three times from july 2015 to 2016 asking if the airbags could be repaired or replaced at their dealership. each time i called i was told parts were not available to do fix the problem. i received a letter in april 2017 (yet dated may 2016) regarding safety recall 15s21 stating the newly designed airbag module would be available in the fourth quarter of that year (2016) and that ford motor company would notify me when the airbag parts would be available.. i have not heard from ford motor company since that time,, i am very concerned about the dangerous airbags on my ford mustang. what recourse do i have regarding having the airbag problem resolved so i can drive my car with some assurance i( or my passengers) would not be killed or injured in the event airbags are deployed. driving this vehicle knowing the danger is like driving with a bomb not knowing if or when i or my passengers might be killed.
Takata recall, i have received 2 letters from ford on this recall (15s21/nhtsa recall 15v-319) dated july 2015 and may 2016. the may letter stated ford would have parts in the fourth quarter of this year. there are less than 45 days left in the fourth quarter with no word from ford. i have called my dealer several times and they seem to be clueless as to what is going on with the air bag parts problem. there is no excuse for this on the dealers behalf, they should be able to keep there customers informed. natsa should also be able to supply some information on the status of this recall.

Takata recall: i have been trying to get a repair for my faulty airbag to no avail. i have contacted the dealership multiple times over the last year and have been told that they have no parts available, cannot give me a repair date, and was told ford has not even started manufacturing the item as of yet. email from ford: "ford does not have any parts to release to any dealers. as a matter of fact they don't even have a part # listed in the bulletin which leads me to think they do not have a supplier making the parts yet." i find this unacceptable, especially with the recent fatalities occurring from shrapnel shooting from airbags. the vehicle is an 2014 and purchased last year.

Takata recall my car has a recall that can potentially result in death and if have spoken to 3 different people over the course of 6 months and they are still saying "um i'm sorry we have no solution and no time frame for a solution". seriously! by the time the solution happens someone could die??? this is so unacceptable! i would expect at the very least a free rental car!! or a refund for my car if there is nothing even in the works!

Per the police report narrative, while approaching a red light, the driver's side airbag on the 2014 ford mustang deployed while braking, (prior to any impact), causing the driver 's foot to slip off the brake, which in turn caused a three vehicle chain reaction rear end type collision. according to the police report narrative the driver had the vehicle serviced earlier in the day at the ford dealership for the airbag.

Takata recall - it has been almost a year since the recall was issued. they issued interim repair for older vehicles but not mine. i don't especially feel safe driving this vehicle and ford can't repair because of a parts issue. ford should give everyone an interim repair. can't you authorized ford to turn off the airbag until it is repaired? the comment about high humidity is not fair. someone could run into me and the device that is supposed to save me is going to kill me. please contact ford and get them moving on this recall. my car is useless, i can't trade it in either because of the recall. and i can't make an appointment to get it fixed!!
Takata airbag. we purchased our vehicle 2 years ago and were notified over a year ago about a defective airbag and the need for it to be replaced. in checking with our dealership over this time, including yesterday they advise the part has not even been made yet and there is no part number in existence for it. they advised there is no info as to when it may be available.
Takata recall- i was in a car accident in which another driver did an illegal uturn in front of me and i t-boned them. the bulk of the damage was on the passenger side. the drivers side airbag deployed with such intensity that it broke my arm and dislocated my elbow. i accumulated of $160k in medical bills that i ultimately had to reimburse my health insurance company because the other drivers insurance was minimal. i did not receive a recall notice until months after the accident. i live in the south where the humidity is great and according to the class action it caused them to deploy with great pressure. i contacted the class action people and they said my vin was not included in the recall and it clearly is.

Takata recall - i am currently importing my vehicle into the us, and as such need to register it in the state of texas. i spoke to someone via the nhtsa hotline, and she instructed me that in order to register my car with an open recall in the state of texas i will need to first file a complaint here. the status of my recall is currently showing as "12- recall incomplete. remedy not yet available. Takata recall it's been six months since i received a safety recall notice from ford regarding nhtsa recall 15v-319, and i am still waiting on the repairs. my local dealer tells me they have received no parts from the manufacturer and have completed zero service appointments related to this recall. this is despite the fact that i live in a southern gulf coast state, which should make my vehicle a priority. in the recall notice, ford pledged to provide "the highest level of service and support." instead, they've provided no service and no support. i'm fortunate that i've never had my airbag deploy, but i'm frustrated by the apparent lack of any further commitment from ford to fix this problem.

Takata recall. my complaint centers around the fact that ford is dragging its feet about honoring the recall. ford has put us in a catch-22 situation. we are risking our lives every day by driving this defective and dangerous car and we can't buy a new car because dealers won't take it in trade. today i visited brandon ford, one of the largest ford dealers in the us. i tried to trade our mustang in on a new one and they wouldn't even talk to me. they would be glad to sell me a new car, but refused to take the trade because the recall renders it worthless. the sales guy said they cannot resell the car and would send it to the auction for pennies on the dollar. he also said that ford has no plans to make the repairs and that any dealer that says they have a repair schedule is lying. i beseech the nhtsa to force ford to make the repairs on our car now or else demand that their dealers give us what the true, fair market value would be if the car had not been recalled. ford motor company should not be permitted by the federal government to "play" its customers and endanger their lives. thank you.

An unreasonable amount of time has passed since the notice of the takata airbag recall (15s21). i feel unsafe driving my mustang knowing that possible shrapnel can strike me in the event the air bag is deployed, possibly causing injury or death! i do wish that ford would stop waiting for a full inventory of replacements parts and start replacing what they can as parts become available. this is a serious issue which i feel ford is not treating very seriously. they are doing nothing to make their customers safe in the meantime.

Takata recall. i received a recall letter in the mail more then a year ago saying my air bag needed to be replaced due to metal shrapnel that could impale me if i were to get in an accident. i received a new letter in the mail a few months ago saying the part would be available the 4th quarter of this year. it is now the end of november and they do not know when the part will be available. i understand there are many cars affected by the recall but it is worrisome to drive a car that could kill you if you are in an accident.
Ford dealer will not trade car in for 2016 ford mustang because of the air bag recall parts .. the dealer says that the car is 5000.00 to 6000.00 off of the wholesale price because of the recall..he also stated that he has 50. or more car in the back that he cant sale due to the safety recall .. why do i have to suffer this because of fords recall.??? i have to drive a car with 5500 miles on it that could kill me and cant trade up to get a safe car

The parts are still not available according to my local ford dealer sheehy ford 10601 midlothian trnpk richmond va (877) 615-8301. i am concerned about driving my car if there is a chance the air bag will rupture and cause injury or death according to the recall information. why can't there be a temporary fix to prevent injury (removal of air bag) or an offer to pay for rental car until parts are available? i feel that my life is at risk driving my car due to the risk of air bag rupture as specifically described in the letter. i rely on this car to get me to and from work and use it to transport my grandchildren. what can be done to resolve my risk until the parts can be replaced.
My vehicle is part of the takata recall. ford is unable to give me a date certain to correct this life threatening safety issue. i attempted to trade the mustang and was given a trade in cost far below fair market value, thus suffering from diminished value. in addition neither the dealer where the car was purchased or ford motor company was willing to offer me any compensation to offset the diminished value or offer me a replacement vehicle to use until the safety issue is resolved. takata is no making 1 million repair kits per month. there currently are over 34 million vehicles effected by this recall and several million more are about to be announced. so this monetary and safety issue can potentially continue for years.
