Takata recall. i was notified by letter from ford on july 2015 regarding safety recall notice 15s21/ nhtsa recall 15v-319. it has been 2.5 years and this issue has not been resolved. i continue to ask each time i bring my car for an oil change at ford and they say they do not have the parts.

Takata recall 13 months to repair drivers side, had to drive to florida to effect that repair. passenger side over 90 days, no response, no repair. will i have to drive to florida again if i want this fixed before another year has passed?

When are these 2008's going to be repaired, as they are listed as the most vulnerable, because of the year and the location (florida) of the vehicle? i am paranoid about driving the car now. i resent the fact that ford did not recall the car off-the-road back in '08, let alone the dealer re-selling it to me in 2012. the high potential of a serious injury or death makes it a lost value to me in many ways. why isn't ford being held responsible? why aren't these cars being pulled off the road and repaired before, the new models are being sold? i have not been in an accident. i was notified in july 2015 of the recall. a local dealer told me, that the vehicle would not possibly be fixed till the second quarter now of 2016. am i supposed to become a victim, in using the car and then facing a possible accident?

Takata recall. i received notification in july 2015 that my vehicle was part of the takata recall. it is now 8 months later and ford still does not have a fix. i'm concerned that my car is not safe to drive and ford is not taking this seriously,

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 ford mustang. while driving at 45 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond. as a result, the vehicle veered to the right and crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle. the air bags failed to deploy. the contact did not sustain any injuries and a police report was not filed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 2,600.

Takata inflators. i received a notice in the summer of 2,015 from ford motor company stating that they had found that my 2008 mustang v6 premium convertible was found to have a defective drivers side air bag and that if it deployed, i could be seriously injured or killed and that it could deploy under certain circumstances even if the car were not involved in an accident. they said i would be notified to take my car to my local ford dealer when a replacement was available. i have checked many times since with my local dealer (acton ford, acton massachusetts) and have been told no replacements are available and they have no idea when any will be made available. i asked to have the air bag disabled and they told me that was not possible and i even offered to sign a release stating that i would not hold them or ford motor company liable for any results if the car was in an accident with a non functioning drivers side air bag and they refused that as well. so i now have a car that could not be sold on a private sale and is about worthless as a trade in for a different automobile! i am do disgusted with the utter lack of any interest to rectify this potentially serious situation and i have been a very faithful customer of ford products and this ford dealer.

Takata air bag recall - i am apart of recall #15v319 and have yet to hear from ford motor company or nhtsa regarding when the affected item will be fixed. people are apparently driving around with this air bag issue which can potentially break into shards and cause injury to its drivers.

Takata recall. i have notified the dealer on two time and i'm still waiting for action to be taker to replace the airbags.

Hello, i received a letter from ford motor company of recall #15s21 vin: [xxx] recall date: may 27, 2015 recall title: driver airbag inflater replacement nhtsa recall number: 15v319 ford recall number: 15s21 recall description: in the subject vehicles, continued exposure to high levels of absolute humidity may cause the driver airbag inflater housing to rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental front airbags are designed to deploy. risk to safety: an inflater rupture could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring vehicle occupants. remedy program: dealers will replace the driver airbag inflater with a new one, free of charge. status: 12 - recall incomplete. remedy not yet available. manufacturer notes: to check for non-safety-related programs applicable to your vehicle, see http://www.ford.com/ or call your ford dealer. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

I have written to ford four times asking for them to repair the takata inflator in our mustang, beginning in early 2016. i have receive four form responses telling me that they understand that this issue "is important to you", that i can continue to drive the vehicle (they noticeably omitted the word 'safely') and that "the volume and scope of the industry-wide takata airbag inflator recalls have created unique replacement parts challenges". i get it, but it's been several years. i didn't buy an air bag inflator from takata, i bought a mustang from ford. ford should be going to alternative providers for this part. they are, clearly, putting their interests and profits before the safety of my family. i'm not okay with this. in fact i'm outraged by it. i've heard enough from ford's "customer service representatives". i'd like my car fixed so it is safe to drive. period. or, they can repay me my $35,000. i'll use it to purchase a vehicle that is safe to operate.

I have been waiting for a repair on my passenger side for about 3-4 years. the dealer in dumas, tx repaired the driver side but says they havent gotten the part in for the passenger side. something is wrong here and somebody is dropping the ball. i want my mustang repaired so i can drive it. i do not drive it as i always have passengers (grandkids) and the warning i got said not to let people sit in the passenger side of the front seat. therefore i do not drive my mustang. it has been parked almost 3-4 years now. what a shame! the dates i am using in this form are about ...i am not sure when it was recalled at first!!!! i have since received a notice to get this fixed as the company has claimed chapter 11. how can i when the dealer cant get the part?

I purchase this car from the ford dealership six months ago. on 04/08/2012 about 1:50 am i was heading home from airmount, ny. i was driving the car at night off a winding road going down hill. as i was driving the steering wheel lock out of no where. then brakes started to shake .i kept pressing on the brakes and brakes would not work and fail. at that point i lost control of the car and hit a tree head on. the airbag on driver side deploy, but the passenger side never deploy it fail. *tr

I purchase the vehicle from mcree ford in dickinson, texas in 2008 as a gift to my wife. the problem all started after she was involved in an accident in october 2010. during that accident she was t-boned by another vehicle. the person who hit my wife was ticketed as it was their fault for running the red light. the car sustained approximately $6900 worth of damage. we had the car repaired at mcree ford's collision center. before the dealership gave us the car back, they told us that they could not get the error light for the airbags to go off and that it would be a short delay in giving us the car back. it took them approximately 3 days to repair the problem with the airbag and they assured us that it was fixed. now, on may 2011, she was again involved in another accident in which she was driving approximately 45 -50 mph when my wife "t-boned" a truck who ran the stop sign and got into her lane. she had no chance to stop the vehicle so she ended up hitting the truck. because the accident was caused by the driver of the truck, the driver of the truck was ticketed. the front of the mustang sustained approximately $9900 worth of damage. my wife sustained minor injuries (minor whiplash and a bruise on her leg). the reason for my letter is that my wife's injuries could have been worse given the fact that the airbag system that was supposed to protect her during both accidents did not deploy. now, we do not know if the airbag system was defective from manufacturing or if mcree ford did not repair the airbags correctly from the accident that occurred in october 2010. it is our believe that the airbag system was defective from manufacturing given the fact that they did not deploy in either accident and according to the manual and all the information we received at the time of purchase from mcree ford, the vehicle was equipped with both frontal and side airbags. i would like this matter investigated as i feel this vehicle is defective. *kb

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 ford mustang. the contact stated the frontal air bag light illuminated constantly. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic who performed a diagnostic test which informed the contact that the drivers seat module was faulty. the vehicle was not repaired since the ford dealer was no longer in the area. the manufacturer was contacted and informed her to take the vehicle to another dealer for the repairs. the vehicle warranty was valid; however, the dealer was 900 miles from her residence and she would be responsible for the repair cost. it would be too costly to take the vehicle to a dealer in another city. the failure mileage was 16,000. updated 07/20/11*lj updated 08/29/11

I got a letter in july 2015 that i need to have my airbag fixed. i have call ford in altoona pa and they keep telling me they do not have the parts to fix it but they also told me that if my airbag light is on they will fix it right now. i just want the problem fixed. i drive this car everyday it needs fixed now.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 ford mustang. while driving 45-55 mph he struck a wet spot on the road, and then crashed into the guard rail which caused the vehicle to roll over three times. none of the air bags deployed. he suffered minor injuries to his head, neck, and back. the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealership. the current and failure mileages were 22000. updated 01/1410 *bf updated 01/20/10.*jb

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 ford mustang. while making a left turn the consumer crashed into an opposing vehicle on the front driver side bumper. the air bags failed to deploy, even though it was a massive level of impact. there were no injuries. the vehicle was towed to a collision center and the estimated repair cost was $14,000.00. the police were present at the crash site. the failure and current mileages were 17,000. updated 12/08/09 lj* updated 12/10/09

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 ford mustang. while driving approximately 20 mph on a wet and lightly sand covered road surface, the vehicle spun 360 degrees. the tire traction control device failed to engage and the vehicle crashed into the guard rail. the vehicle ended up facing west bound on an east bound lane. the air bags failed to deploy, but there were no injuries. the vehicle sustained severe frontal damage, and there was also damage to the front passenger door and body frame. the police were called to the scene. recently, the front driver's side automatic shoulder belt retractor system failed without warning. the vehicle is currently inoperative and has not been repaired. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were 15,500.

On 1/11/2009 at 8:00 pm i was heading home from work, when a ford f-250 lost control and crashed into the drivers' side door. there was such force in the crash that the side impact airbag did not deploy as required to do so. i sustained injuries which consisted of leg contusions, 3 broken ribs, neck, and back injuries. my vehicle which was a 2008 ford mustang gt premium sustained $17,700.00 worth of damage and was deemed a total loss. *tr

Takata recall

Takata recall , safety recall 15s21 was completed on 08/09/16, driver side airbag, at the time i was advised that the passenger side airbag was not yet available and that i would be notified when it is available, to date i have not been so advised. presently safety recall 16s26 is still active and i have received notice that takata has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy!

Takata recall. i am unable to understand why ford is allowed to take this much time to replace the defective and unsafe air bag in my 2008 ford mustang. they are still being allowed to sell new vehicles and to sell replacement air bags for vehicles involve in accidents. where is the consumer protection in this? i think the concern for the consumer in this whole fiasco has been a joke'

The air bag on the 2008 ford mustang is to close to the front of the seat,i purchased one for my wife, she sits up right in the passenger seat with her back against the back of the seat ,the air bag was turn off when she was a passenger in the car, ford is aware that this happened and said that they could not do anything about it,we had the car less than one month and it was in the shop 3 times during this time,we had it returned under the lemon law,but this is a safety problem if you have to sit so close to the front of the seat in order for the air bag to be turned on. we have a 04 f-150,a 04 gran marquis and drove an explorer, and a taurus while her car was in the shop and never had the air bag light to come on. ford said that they could not find fault with the light, just the placement of the sensor being to far to the front of the seat. a simple move closer to the rear of the seat would solve this problem. *tr
