Takata recall - over a year ago, in july 2016 i received a letter from ford customer service that the passenger frontal airbag inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. i never received a follow up letter, but recently got a notice on october 26, 2017 that tk holdings and company affiliates are filing chapter 11. i called the palm bay, florida ford dealer, where i bought the car, inquiring as when the parts would be available. the service department did not know and said i had as much knowledge about the recall as they did. i checked the www.airbagrecall.com web site listed on the takata notice and found out that the repair was incomplete on my car because the "remedy not yet available". it has been over 15 month and no resolution for this safety recall. doesn't ford have a duty to find an alternative supplier in a timely manner?

Takata recall notified july 2016 but each time i call dealer they say they don't have replacement part for passenger side airbag.
It has been one year since i received a notice from ford for nhtsa recall 16v-384 that the passenger frontal airbag inflator was defective and could rupture if deployed. yesterday i went to a local dealer for the fourth time and was informed that ford still does not have replacement inflators. this is unacceptable. please demand that they obtain replacement inflators.
Takata recall my car has been on recall for the passenger side air bag inflator since july 2016. it is now april 2017! is this ever going to get resolved. this is ridiculous! thanks.
Takata recall received notice from ford in july 2016. have followed up with the dealer on several occasions and told nothing they can do-ford has not released the parts complained directly to ford and was told parts are not available. couldn't or wouldn't tell me where my car falls on the priority list nor could they tell me when i might expect to hear from them. neither ford nor the dealer have kept me aware of any progress. i have had to pursue all information. also complained to the illinois attorney general who contacted ford and ford responded they were awaiting parts. this was my dream car for my wife and i for retirement, and she has not been able to ride in it. i want to be prioritized for replacement part.

Takata recall. we received notice in july of 2016 that there is a recall on our mustang. it is now november 2017 and there is still no fix available. the letter stated that in the event of an accident, the air bag could rupture causing serious injury of death. we recently decided to trade the car in only to be told that because of the recall, the car can't be resold. so now we are stuck with a dangerous car until ford decides this fix is important to their customers.

Takata recall. we received our recall letter in june of 2016 for passenger side air bag replacement. we waited a year and called ford in july of 2017. they said that takata was out of business and they were hiring another company to make the replacement air bags. we just called again on september 29, 2017 and still no idea when it will be repaired. they also told us that we could not disable the air bag. so no one can ride in the passenger seat, unless you want to play russian roulette with your life. we waited over a year for the drivers side air bag to be replaced, so we are coming up on 3 years that we could not drive the car or had limited use because no one is able to ride on the passenger side without putting there life in danger.
I still have not received info on when and where to get my airbag replaced. this is a safety concern and it has been over a year.
This is to report a delay in recall 16v384. i've been contacting my local dealership to get the problem fixed and because they are waiting on a second set of parts, they've advised me to wait. it's been over a year, when will the passenger side be available to fix?

Takata recall--driver side inflator was repaired july 2016. in june 2016 received additional recall for passenger airbag inflator. it has been more than a year since notification. my vehicle is in the priority due to age and i am zone 1. i contacted the dealer in october 2016 and was advised they expected parts in january 2017. as of this date i have heard nothing . we are at risk for liability if i carry a passenger. it is not unreasonable to expect resolution after waiting a year and having a priority vehicle.
Takata recall, i received a letter for a factory recall for my passenger side airbag over a year ago. i have called the dealer ship twice and they informed me that i have to wait for ford to contact me with a second letter. i think a year and a half is way to long to be waiting for a replacement.

Takata recall my airbags are defect. the driver's side was replaced by ford dealership but the passenger side has still not been replaced so no one can ride in the passenger seat. i have went back to ford dealership several times but i keep being told they do not have the parts to fix it yet. this has been going on for about a year now and so we cannot drive the car since it is dangerous for my wife to ride on the passenger seat.

Takata recall, it's been almost two years since i've been able to drive my mustang safely. first it was a recall for the driver's air bag in july 2015, then not a month after it being replaced, there's a recall on the passenger side on july 1, 2016. my wife refuses to ride in it, so we had to buy another car for her. we live in cape canaveral, florida and we purchased the convertible to have enjoy it down here. i written to ford and they simply replied that they'll send me a written notice via mail when the replacement bag is available. this is ridiculous! can you do anything to expedite the process? updated 09/25/2017*js *js
