I was involved in a serious car accident on sunday of last week. while in the right-hand lane of interstate 95 in boynton beach, florida, my 2008 mustang was hit in the rear by an apparently speeding motorist. i was traveling between 55-60 mph and accelerating to achieve pace with the other cars on the highway. my car was struck in the rear, and propelled forward striking a minivan in front to me. i was pushed off the road and into the sea grape stand, and then struck one of the posts on a highway information sign. my car was totaled. (see the photo) neither airbag in the car deployed. i had received notices from ford motor company that my car had takada airbags in it, and that they should be replaced. i was notified approximately one year ago that replacement parts for the driver's side air bag were available. so, i went to the auto nation ford dealer and garage located on linton blvd, and interstate 95 in delray beach, florida to have the bag replaced. i dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up late in the afternoon, and was told that the bag had been replaced. i have driven the car ever since with the belief that i had a non-takada functioning driver's side air bag. neither the driver's side air bag nor the passenger side air bag deployed during the accident. however, each of the other three vehicles involved in the accident had full deployment of their air bags.it's obvious that the air bag replacement in my car by the auto nation ford dealership was deficient and did not meet crash standards for deployment. i am requesting that your agency investigate the replacement air bags and the installation techniques being used by ford to replace air bags in the ford cars being recalled for air bag replacement.
Takata recall plus drivers seat belt wont retrack very easy. been to world ford dealership in pensacola and they keep telling me to bring it in next month. it's been since jan this year and still no airbag replacement. been in there three times so far. please let get this fixed before someone gets hurt or dead....

Purchased a car from landmark ford in springfield illinois on 11/5/2016. i was told all recall have been completed. took car to my local ford dealership to be told the 15s21 drivers airbag safety recall had not been completed. landmark ford was not truthful about this safety recall and put both my wife and i in danger. i feel i was taken advantage of by landmark ford and i am in the process of filing a lawsuit against landmark ford.
Takata recall. the car was recalled almost a year ago for the drivers side airbag. it took several months for ford to notify me that parts were available. once fixed (approx 3"months ago) i was told that the passenger side was also recalled but there was no fix . i tried to trade the car in about 2 weeks ago and was told that they were unable to take the car in on trade because there is still no fix and ford would not allow the resell the car.

I was notified in writing that the right frontal airbag had been recalled and i would be contacted when the parts came in to fix it. the left frontal airbag which had been previously recalled was fixed. i have contacted the dealer twice since notification and they told me that the parts never came in and probably would not. i am now stuck with a mustang with a potential bomb in front of the passenger's seat, with no way to fix it or even to turn it off.
It's been at least a year and a half on this recall and i've gotten letters saying parts are available yet i call mcmullen ford and they do not have them and i've gotten my honda crv fixed and it had only 6 months and they ordered the part to install in my vehicle specifically. now why can't a part be held for a specific vehicle at the ford dealership?
Takata recall i received a safety recall notice in may 2016 notifying me of the recall for the driver and passenger side air bag inflator. i made an appointment with mike patton ford in lagrange ga. they replaced the driver side air bag inflator on 08/22/2016. they said the passenger side air bag inflator was not available and would let me know when it was. i have checked back several times, but it still was not in stock. still waiting. the car has not been driven since as i don't want to possibly injure someone riding with me.

Takata recall been trying to have fixed since 2016, being told not to allow anyone in passenger side. ford dealer suuposedly did interim repair on driver side. center cap on steering wheel has been lose, shakes and rattles upon acceleration. airbags are deadly. will not drive car. fors has no permanent fix. contacted ford, dept. of justice, atty general office, and wells fargo who i have car loan with. only recvd 1 response from ford, sent them the requested info, was promised a rental and since have not heard back. have been deqling with wells fargo becuz i owe $9000 on loan, promised to help, waited then said it was manufacturer defect but wont refinance car or help in any way. they want me to drive a deadly vehicle, continue to pay for it and not allow anyone in passenger seat when the driver side isnt fixed either! getting help from no o e. something needs to be done. people are dying and getting hurt and ford and takata could care less! i have all the documents and emails!

Takata recall, i have been waiting for repairs since 2016. the local dealer supposedly did an interim repair on the driver side airbag. ever since then the middle of the steering wheel is lose and rattles upon acceleration. the car constantly dies and needs to be jump started even after replacing 4 new batteries. the local ford dealer says there is nothing wrong with car. i don't even think they did anything to the driver airbag. i've have sent over 15 complaints to numerous agencies including ford with no response besides a letter from ford received on april 13 saying the parts were available for the passenger side airbag which is a lie! henry at the dealer said they do not have the parts and are still waiting for them. they think they should be there in about 2-3 weeks and it could be up to a month or months before they receive them.
