There was a recalll for default with the emergency brake and takata airbag

Tl* the contact owned a 2005 ford mustang. while driving approximately 45 mph, the front driver side control arm fractured and caused the driver to lose steering control. as a result, the vehicle crashed into a tree. in addition, the air bags failed to deploy. the driver suffered from a head concussion, laceration to the face, and body bruises that included severe injuries to the stomach and blood clots. medical attention was received. the vehicle was destroyed and towed to a salvage facility. a police report was filed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 88,603.

Engine light came on and car was sticking in gear so i took it to the dealer. the dealer found out through a diagnostic test that the throttle assembly but wanted me to pay almost $1000.00 to get it fixed. i told them no and picked my car up. i went on line and found out there was a recall on the throttle assembly.

Popping noise up front when i turn left or right, also very hard to put gas in tank my brother is a certified mechanic and he said it was the strut bearing plate making the popping noise on the passenger side. it is like 300.00 plus labor to replace. i have read alot of people complaining on the popping noise, this should be a recall. the gas tank should be a recall too. thanks *tr

None of the gauges work. i have to drive pacing myself with other vehicles. only the icon for gas needed comes on when the gas is low. starting after about 10,000 miles on the car i have had increasing problems getting fuel in the car. not just myself, but anyone that tries to fuel the car. i initially started holding the fuel nozzle upside down to get gas and that worked for a few years. (although you look like a dumb ass that doesn't know how to put gas in a car!) this last year it has gotten so bad that i am lucky to get 2 gallons in it, and that is with it repeatedly shutting off. since day one the right front wheel makes a grinding/clunking noise when i turn the tire in either direction. it makes me feel like the wheel will fall off. my cars body assembly is also crap. the front lower grill has popped off and disappeared. i have seen several, at least 10 other mustangs of this year missing the same part. the plastic, yes plastic!, screws pop out. the places where the inside seams of the car are supposed to connect are detached. the light enclosure in the trunk will not stay attached. the seat handles fall off. i only have 50,000 miles on this car. repair shops tell me to wait for a recall, when is that going to happen? *tr

2005 mustang convertible top failure. no prior warning of failure. i took it the the ford dealer in lugof, sc (james ervin ford) to seek repair. dealer said they did not repair failed convertible tops, i should take it to a body shop. i explained that the top had failed after just 42.000 miles on the car and that ford had issued 2 tsb. they did not investigate the tsb and refused repair. *tr

Car vibrates/rumbles excessively at 70 mph, started 3000-4000 miles after i bought car. also front end clunks like car with 100,000 miles on it. after numerous trips to dealer ford only states that this is normal for the vehicle???? *jb

2005 ford mustang fuel system, replaced due to system failure when filling car with gas, it broke again ford will not or can not fix, manual 5-speed transmissions replaced 2 times and going out again, car at ford 28 days in last 6 months for warranty repairs, ford denies the car is a lemon. *jb

Car vibrates/rumbles excessively at 70 mph, started 3000-4000 miles after i bought car. also front end clunks like car with 100,000 miles on it. after numerous trips to dealer ford corporate only states that this is normal for the vehicle?

2005 mustang brand new has faulty gas tank. i was unable to put gas in tank. dealer is ordering a new tank from manufacturer to be replaced. also replaced front upper strut bearings and lower sleeves brackets that where defective. everytime i made turns in vehicle i heard clicking noises. also trunk latch is getting replaced due to trunk wont unlock with remote key. part is on order as well as gas tank. there is to many of these gas tank problems that other consumers are having for ford not to recall them or investigate. same goes for the struts. *jb

Dt: 2005 ford mustang gt - there was bad vibration within vehicle. this happened anytime while driving at 45 mph and above. it seemed worse when the car sat for a few days. this did not start until the car had approximately 3000-4000 miles on it. the dealer seemed to think it was the tires, one new set of all four tires, and a set of two tires that were put on this vehicle. the tire calibration machine stated that the tires were within specs. the consumer called the manufacturer, and there were no recalls or technical service bulletins on this car. *ak the consumer believed the problem is with the suspension or the drive train. updated 02/14/06. *jb

Rear stabalizer bar bracket too close to rear wheel rim housing--within 1/2 inch.

Initial problems: 1. pin strip on driver side was peeling off 2. a/c vent fell out of console 3. convertible top got stuck in the down position. stopped by closest dealer because i was on vacation and we pulled the top back up. brought it to a local dealer for repairs and they said it was not covered under warranty because the entire convertible top frame was twisted. they stated this was because i most likely had driven while the top was half way up/down. after several weeks ford engineers decided to cover the repairs for the top. took the dealer five weeks to get all parts and replace the top. 4. gas tank replaced because gas pumps would constantly cut off while refueling. 5. a/c makes popping noise every once in while. current issues: 1. noise in front end while turning at slow speeds 2. after car warms to driving temperature, there is a thumping noise heard in engine, very prominent in interior 3. driver side exterior door handle sticks in the out position 4. convertible top making a thud noise when raising and lowering top 5. exhaust is making a popping noise when if engine is revved right after starting the car 6. slight vibration/rattling noise coming from console while car idles 7. a/c making popping noise every once in while. *jb

I purchased my 2005 ford mustang on may 28, 2005 and about a week after i started noticing the paint had chips in it, then i started looking the car over with a magnifying glass (almost) and noticed that the tint that had been placed in florida where the car was purchased from dealer to dealer was bubbling in places and since it wasn't done by ford nothing could be done, then i noticed when i came to a stop and pulled it out of gear the rpms would run extremely high then fall low and back up again, and it continues to do this, about 1 1/2 months ago i started noticing a rattling in the front of the car, not sure what that is yet, we will see what the dealership says about this all tomorrow. *jb

Main reat strut/shock absorber suppor brackets are rusted out on the brand new ford mustant 2005. the factory refuses to do anything about this. i filed multiple complaints. if the suspension fails i could wreck!

Dt: both rear strut mount brackets rusted. the caller did not notice it until it was too late. dealer refused to do anything until a recall was issued. . manufacturer said to take it to a dealer. the caller has noticed this problem on other vehicles he has looked at of the same year . *ak

Creaking noise while turning either left or right. *ak

Clunking in the shock/spring assembly in all four wheels. dealership believes the springs are not seated correctly and are twisting.

When making turns left or right there is a very loud click from the front end. this is a constant occurrence, usually when the vehicle is not on level ground but when there is a slope such as in parking structures. i have taken it to the dealer regarding this problem , but they have not fixed it yet, and the parts they originally ordered they now say will not fix the problem. in addition, there seems to be a less audible click coming form under the front part of the car, usually when the heater or the air conditioning is on, which no one seems to pinpoint. this is not constant but is an off and on occurrence. lastly, i have a problem sometimes when fueling as the pump turns off right after i begin fueling as if the tank is full when it is not. i solve this by changing the pump or gas station but it happens too often for it not to be mentioned.*ak

Clunking noise in front end when turning left or right. vehicle taken to dealer 2 times, dealer stated ford engeener is looking into this. part should be avalable in 30 days. *jb
