Tl*the contact owns a 1999 ford mustang. while driving 35 mph, the contact heard a loud noise. the noise was caused by the aluminum rim splitting in half, causing the right front wheel to turn on its own. the wheel detached from the vehicle and the frame dropped. the contact had the vehicle towed to his residence. the current and failure mileages were 96,000.
Vehicle would vibrate severely when driving. intermittently transmission would not go into gear. dealer contacted.*ak the dealer could not understand how the transmission had no leaks but was out of transmission fluid. this vehicle has had 2 blown head gaskets, the rear seal in the motor was replaced, the heater core, the transmission, and the catalytic convertor have all been replaced. *jg
Was driving v when vehicle started to vibrate severely. after arriving home, placed vehicle on hoist and checked beneath it. *ak
I was in reverse traveling atbout 3-5 miles per hour. there was a loud hop and then the front passenger side dropped about 6" inche down .both fp/s ball joints hopped out. this could have been a very bad thing at 55/70 miles per hour! ford repaired this under warranty but i qustion how many others and if the drivers side could come apart as well?*ak
Consumer was driving and another vehicle veered into her lane and ran her off the road. driver's airbag didn't go off. *ak
While traveling 40 mph in dry weather conditions vehicle swerved to prevent hitting an object,the car started to slide sideways, and the two wheels on the driver's side came off.dealer has been contacted. *ak
While making a right turn, the vehicle would make an awful grinding noise, vehicle was taken to the dealership and they replaced the rack and pinion steering assembly and the outer tie rod. *cj.
