The driver side door latch is broken and is not latching which means the door is not closing. i discovered this when parking my car, exiting like i have done the entire time i've had my car, coming back, opening the door, and going to close it and it not latching. i thought something was in the door frame preventing it from closing but upon looking closely, the latch is freely moving and not locking with the door frame. i looked this issue up to see if it was an easy fix (which it is not) and there have been other ford recalls for this same issue which my car is not covered under. there have also been multiple other ford customers with the same issue with all different makes and models that have that also were not covered under the warranty. this is a huge safety issue that many ford owners are dealing with but only select few makes and models were covered under the recall. now i have to bring my car into the dealership and pay a huge bill to get this fixed even though this should have never happened and it was nothing i did. i ...

I am fortunate to have been stationary(the vehicle) at the time of the casualty to my 2016 ford fusion. i was stopped at a store and after i placed my things in the backseat, i went to close my rear driver side door and it would not close. this happened january 14th, 2020. i will mention that my 2016 ford fusion was purchased in september 2016 with only 17 miles on it, brand new at an overseas military vehicle dealership. my vehicle currently only has 18,000 miles on it. as i have no rope or ties in my vehicle, i was left with twisting my arm behind the driver seat and driving home(instead of my destination) with my arm painfully twisted around as to keep the door closed on the road to not hit another vehicle when i braked or turned. i would surmise this as a not positive experience in the pouring rain. ford has formally told me via their customer care line that my vehicle is not covered under any safety recalls. ford has stated my $2000 fordextracare 7 year/75,000 mile extended warranty additionally will not cover this casualty. i've found evidence online that ford issued recalls ...

On december 27th 2019. my daughter slide into the back of another car and she complained the breaks were taking to long to come to a complete stop. the car was totaled and on january 23rd, 2020 we received safety recall notice 19s54/nhtsa recall 19v-904. had we received this notice before 12/27/19 we believe repairs would have prevented the accident and the car would not have been sold for parts.

Driver side door does not open from outside the vehicle. outside door handle does not work nor move. this is dangerous for the driver and passengers: because car has "bucket style" front seats. driver cannot move from front passenger to/from driver side seat. to enter auto, driver enters front passenger door, reaches over the center console to driver inside door handle, opens driver door from inside, exits auto, enters (the now open) driver side door. in unsafe neighborhoods this puts the driver and his passengers in unnecessary danger. this driver is unable to drive the car with the driver side door unlocked, so in event of a crash/accident, the driver cannot be removed, from the crashed damaged car, the broken driver side door handle cannot be opened by a first responder/rescuer. the driver is in unnecessary danger. the local ford dealership, examined the driver's door and reports: "outside door handle is stuck, will not open. pulled door panel off and found that lock and rod from handle to latch has rusted, and rotted, causing rod to break in ...

Its been 3 years since i have had my car and i have not been notified by ford that i have a recall. not by phone, email, or even in person. the only reason i know i have three is because of my family member who notified me. i have called multiple ford dealerships to complain and get it fixed but they don't seem to want to help. every time i go or call they take my number and that is it. so i just keep going trusting they will call me back. and this week my car starts to have troubles and my transmission hard shifts into second gear and i damage the front and bumper of my car. i took it to my local mechanic and he says the problem comes from the recalled part. and now my car is parked until i can get it fixed and i have called ford and they wont help.
