Stationary vehicle - dealer couldn't rotate the tires because the lug nuts were swollen. i was told that i could buy new lug nuts for $140.00. the technician stated that there is a class action law suit against ford for the lug nut issue. potential problem would be if i had a flat while on the road and could not fix because the lug nuts were swollen, which could cause safety issue.

I was driving through san juan capistrano california evening of jan 3rd 2018 west bound on hwy 74 having just past the overpass on i-5. i was only going about 30 mph and the steering suddenly stopped working and my car floated over and i could not stop it or steer. it was the strangest thing i ever experienced. i felt the sensors in the car suck in. my car bounced over the curb and the right front wheel was torn off it. the insurance company totaled my car out and the loss of my car has been significant loss of income and ability to work too. i lost so much over this car being totaled. i has usaa auto insurance and gap coverage on the note. however i had no idea about how insurance and the ability to restore insurance would be affected. i have had to see this as an at fault accident and it raised my insurance and impacts me negatively in many ways financially. airbags did not deploy i attached loss docs, i have pics of car as well as wheel well where wheel was pulled off after bouncing over the high curb.
