Takata recall 18s01 nhtsa 18v046 after receiving recall letter on feb 2016, i contacted many ford dealers in south jersey nj, philadelphia pa and in buffalo ny to replace defective recalled air bag. however, there is no single dealer has the parts until date 5/31/2018. they don't know when the part will be available and some of them said it may be available by fourth quarter or around the end of 2018. they offered rental smallest compact car (not equivalent to my current car) where i have to pay dealer extra 10 to 12 dollars per day plus insurance cost (average $350- to $500 monthly until undefined date) i would like to file a complaint as i i don't want to be exposed to such dangerous deadly air bag. this is liability of manufacture not customer fault. in addition i can't afford this extra unfair rental cost imposed by dealers.

It has been 4 months and have received no further information or the airbag replacement

Takata recall our dealer put us in a rental the end of july 2018, which is great to protect us from the airbag. but i am beyond furious that i am paying for a vehicle that i cannot even enjoy. this is unacceptable and i think ford needs to make the situation right. they need to buy back the vehicle and put us in another vehicle for the same price. so the recall occurred late last year 2017/ early 2018 and they only put us in a rental in july. what if something would have happened before then. beyond disgusted!

Takata recall. i have a 2010 fusion with a recall on the passenger side. i am told there are no parts available to repair it so i do not have full use of my vehicle since i can not use the front passenger seat. it seems the manufacturer should find alternate suppliers or provide a replacement until parts are available. i called my local dealer and was told there is nothing that can be done. is the driver side airbag safe? can a malfunctioning passenger airbag injure the driver or rear seat passengers?
